I just was looking at tech deck dudes and remembered a lot from my childhood. My dad would collect everything. Whenever we would go to walmart we would hunt for hotwheels and whenever we got a tech deck dude my dad would always get 2 and i never understood why. One was for us to play with and destroy and the other was to keep in the box! He still has all of them to this day sealed and in their original case he has like all of the blind, world industries, toy machine ones. Any one you can name he might have. I was looking on ebay and saw that the blind reaper was like 100$ sealed now i want to keep them and collect them myself. I miss all the cool toys from the early 2000s

I used to see commercials for these on Cartoon Network and i, being a little girl who liked cute stuff at that time, was not the target demographic for these but O MAN do i have deep core memories of seeing these guys and desperately wanting one to chew on.

I've seen a video or two on YouTube or somewhere about a guy who makes custom ones and actually makes a living doing it. Yes custom fingerboards. It was awesome

where i lived you could even buy skate shoes that came bundled with a special teck deck dude. i remember my brother eyeing them once.
parents didnt buy teck deck for us but fond memories playing with the mcdonalds ones we had. where are they stored..

Hey man. Idk if you will see this comment but I think a video about webkinz or neopets would SLAP. Though I'm not sure if you can still play them so maybe not? Loved the wizard101 video, didn't even ever play that game ever it was just a trip lol.

My brother for years had mini skateboards (definitely not Tech Decks, his were made of plywood, the trucks were metal, the wheels were hard PU, essentially a mini skateboard not a plastic toy), he would be constantly running it along any surface wherever he went and popping tricks. I've had at least like 5 hours of 1:1 coaching to ollie and I've never managed it, it's way easier on a real skateboard. I never understood how he was able to do it.

I totally suppressed my memories of how into Tech Deck I was as a kid until you whipped out the half-pipe and remembered I had that same set plus some of the additional ramp addons that could all be interchangeably snapped to one another!

It’s sad how trash can you are at this lol and real skaters used “fingerboards” but I started with tech decks myself but moved on to real wood and grip tape 🫠 lol not that the quality was bad but black river did it better 🫣

11:15 this is pretty much what would happen if you put gen one Megatron on a skateboard in the canon. He'd make that classic transformers "sounds like an empty trash can falling over" sound as he busted his metal ass on the pike then shoot the first person who laughed at him.
