The Password Journal and other Girl Tech toys were a line of tech toys marketed toward young girls. There was a lot of cool stuff, check out the video!

Ok but what if terrorists get ahold of this IM thing at the end? What then?
If I was born in the early 2000s as well as my sister and my sister had a password journal like that, I would just use a microphone or something to secretly record her saying the password so I could unlock it! Lol!
As a boy, I don't like how those teenage girls in the girl tech commercials always becoming mean to their brothers. Also, I don't like how there is only a Girl tech company existing and not a Boy tech!
9:15 my birthday!
I remember my sister having one of the password journals and I think I remember braking in by just prying it open with a flat head screwdriver
I got mad enough at my password journal that I forced it open with a screwdriver
I remember the earlier version of the password journal. I constantly forgot my password and had to reset it. Fun times. I think I still have it somewhere.
Omg or those girl tech laptops. Loved them 😂 i also have a lot of memories with those password journals. I remember having a monster high themed one
My sis had the password journal lol
I mean clearly their marketing worked because I was obsessed with all of these as a kid and now Im a digital designer 😅
wassa wata
The journal I did own 😂
19.2.24
12:08 For some reason the tapping sound was suuuuuuuper realistic sounding and it scared the hell out of me LOL
I had the password phone
Are your ad transition sounds from OMGpop?
My sister had a password journal and my older brother cracked it within a day
But it’s 20% off at Kohl’s. 😆
I bought myself one of those crappy diary things for fun, and it would never open to my very secure password
FUCKING PASSWORD
Not my GirlTech (it was by Mattel), but does anyone else remember Pixel Chix???? I loved that shit
I love my password journal as a kid. Still have it somewhere stored at my parents house. Was a fun diary when I was small. Then when I was a teen, I would just hide weed in it😂😂
7:50 war profiteers funding both sides of a conflict to make money
killer video
Wtf the IM-ME looks so cool. It's like Pictochat but years ahead. I always wanted a Tmobile Sidekick as a kid and every time I saw a girl with one of those things I was jealous! Girls toys were pretty sick in the 90's lol.
I had the eye lock!!! 😂
I wonder if anyone ever used some regularly occurring sound from the TV as their password then locked themselves out when it went away lol
I remember the Password journal. Best sleepover challenge was seeing who could mimic the owner's voice the best to break into the journal (with the owner's permission, of course). If it wasn't anything too hardcore, like a crush or something, we'd all totally read and giggle about it.
I had a friendchips!!! I hated having to pass the thing back and forth, I was like??? Why dont we just write notes???
My sisters and best friends and I all had IM-MEs. Loved them, except you had to be so close to the computer I would get annoyed I couldn't move around more. Especially when trying to talk to my sisters, like what's the point when we both have to sit by the computer, come on hahaha
Don't forget about fijit friends and F.A.M.P.S too make a video about them
i had the sid from toy story kind of older sibling. they physically pulled my password journal and i cried so hard
The friend chip I guess could make sense of you were leaving a memo for someone to pick up. Like, I don’t know, you leave the house in the morning and have a list of things for your kids to do. My mother would just do it the old fashioned way by writing it down on a note pad.
I got a password journal and my uncle got it to work within minutes. Overheard me say my password, he said the password in a high pitched voice and it instantly worked
What about Billius, your evil Britain clone?
Hmmmm I would love to get my hands on these Friend Chips 📟 🌸
Ah yes, the Password journal. I couldn't remember my old password so I broke in with a screwdriver.
The im me looks like a knockoff t-mobile sidekick
i had a password journal. my sister was able to imitate me and get into my journal. she changed my password to "[my sister's name] is the best". it's a mystery how she got caught
I never had any of these toys but if there is one problem I have them, it's the message delivered from the ads in which is a BIG LIE. And that is the BFF relationship. That is that teen and pre-teen girls are ALWAYS with their peer friends no matter what. And as you said about friendchips and IM-ME, imagining that it must've been hard to find someone else who had these devices to share messages with. It proves that these toy companies just expect that tween and teen girls of that age always get in touch with friends.
That is so not the truth from my experience! Even though that’s what I want more than anything now, I have had a hard time getting together girly groups, or even get in contact with peer friends + are always busy doing something else and never have time for me. Another thing in that ads that bother me is the message that girls are already getting interested in boys as young as 11-12. When I was that young, I was so far away from having that feeling!
Can we call you Billiambilly?
I still have my Password Phone!!!!! I pulled it out of boxes after watching this video. Sadly i can no longer unlock this phone cause my voice dont sound like 9 year old me anymore. I am keeping this until i have children !!!!
Girl tech was created as a counter espionage operation to defend against spy gear
I kinda love how these toys all focused on kids getting to see boundaries and have privacy 🥺
I remember the commercial for the password journal 🙂
What song was playing during the raycon ad
