I'm sorry but the deer hunter is so overrated. 3 hours long and the first hour is a freaking wedding

Best decade ever!! Raw, gritty, unpretentious films. The '80s ruined everything. Suddenly it became more about out doing Spielberg or Lucas and everything became so freaking corny and over the top

The Exorcist brought supernatural horror to a whole other level never seen before or since. Alien shot sci-fi horror into a brand new realm that's never been matched since its release. Yet i can't argue with your list. The 70s in general i believe had the greatest movies released in any decade before or since.
