Sat here 3 years later looking if I can buy a (new) PC or laptop under £900 that can beat Series X. Nope. And the next iteration of Xbox may only be 18 months away.

As a Playstation guy I gotta admit the Xbox Series X is an elegant yet functional design, the cooling abilities even surpass that of the PS5.
The PS5 design is just a mess. It's obvious SONY had a difficult time figuring out how to cool it, so they made it the size of a mini-fridge, lol.

I recently own a PS5, but I'm amazed how Microsoft combined the complex hardware, without compromising cooling inside a simple monolithic form that we're all familiar with. It's an ingenious design. They probably went: "Let's develop an SOC with several teraflops of power that current games are not yet optimized for this processing speed, stack each hardware component on top of another, make the heat sink larger, draw cool air from the bottom and exhaust heat on top making air convection easier for this machine." Perfection. I'm gonna get one of those beasts soon.

This is the first time I decided to actually own both a ps5 and xbox series x!!! Enough of the fan boys and console wars and let's just be a community of Gamers on all platforms.

I finally got the series x, i had to buy it with 2 extra games and pay more, but i figured if i didnt buy one now it could have taken another year before one became available. No regrets tho.

Amazing console best looking one ever since og xbox. Have ps5 and series x both are totally quiet and awesom. But ps5 you can vacuum the heatsink. Also use liquid metal coolingm. I pray series x will keep quiet.

Only thing I wish they did was add some green rgb lighting. It really feels like it should be slightly glowing green from the top and maybe bottom.

It is great engineering. But it’s not anything new. It’s prob the most boring Xbox design just being a PC in a black Micro ITX case. Nothing special in terms of external design at all. Even Xbox One VCR looks better

One undeniable fact is every games looks beautiful on Series X and S. I just finished playing Dead Space 1 and it was fucking beauty, the enhancement, auto HDR, audio etc. Damn xbox...

I'm here simply because I was admittedly a PlayStation fan boy since the original one I've owned every PlayStation other than the japan only psx. Sony decided to start porting the big exclusive games like death stranding and horrizon to pc and to be honest I fancied rolling with the green side .short story is I've had an xbox series x now for 5 weeks and I absolutely love it ,my only gripe personally is the fact sharing screenshot and video clips painfully has to be shared to xbox live before sending to the friend, weird but yesssss.

According to you, the ssd of the Series X is it removable and replaceable by one with a better transfer speeds? And this architecture is it designed to manage a ssd which delivers 7Go/s without to limit it?

Who needs another stupid gaming console when one can build a gaming PC for about the same price, that will be upgradable and expandable and won't get stuck with obsolete hardware in a couple of years? Especially when such a gaming console, that has the CPU and GPU on the same die, will always be underpowered to some extent when compared to any gaming PC with separate graphics card(s). I was thoroughly disappointed with my Xbox One X incredibly sluggish GUI, and slow as snails loading times, and underpowered, obsolete CPU.

I think my favorite part is that they didn’t feel the need to totally remake what was an already excellent controller design. Seeing the hard specs compared to the one S is also really impressive.
