Meanwhile Spotify is the Netflix of musical services , anything you like or consider a classic , most likely it wont be on there. But you know where it will be , on You Tube only time i wasnt able to look up a specific song was any Princes material cuz he owned it and it literally wasnt up for grabs unless you paid for it

Well you can say that about anything… TV shows were made to sell commercials, movies are made to sell popcorn, Broadway plays are made to sell tickets. I think it is a bit cynical to frame it like that. I mean, music existed LONG before any technology was around. Think about ancient tribes singing and tapping sticks together. There was no RCA back then.

Today it's more of a symbiotic relationship. Jerry Sienfeld would not have any money if advertisers didn't pay for a spot next to his show. And there wouldn't be any advertisers broadcasting if there wasn't a show to watch. The whole system needs each other to work together. ALBEIT each part of the system is trying to grab more than their fair share, like always, but that's human greed, it's not some sort of parasitic function that exists where musicians are just tools of the tech industry.

If you are a talented musician who is looking to collaborate on serious projects, I would highly recommend applying for the Billboard 500 Club Membership. I am in this private group, and the amount of valuable knowledge and opportunities is undeniable. This group is full of talent and people with the same mindset of wanting to make a big change in the music industry. There are people from all over the world, including 44 countries. Every week, the members of the group are mentored by top producers, songwriters, and A&R executives. With unique networking opportunities, valuable demo critiques by top professionals, courses offered at reasonable prices, and much more, this group was a rare find for me, and if you think you would be a good fit for the group, you can apply here: https://musicindustrycontact.lpages.co/the-billboard-500-club-application/

That is a very enlightening bit of information. Thanks

@TheTripz321 April 9, 2024 - 6:29 am

I agree but why are artists hired guns? Why does it almost only work to sell other stuff? I didn't get that point.

@frvrfranco April 9, 2024 - 6:29 am

Had to comment to change the number. All Glory to GOD 🤞🏿

@aldobmusic April 9, 2024 - 6:29 am

Good point. Music sells everything but itself.

@joeserna5374 April 9, 2024 - 6:29 am

Love this video but , long story short he’s technically saying to sell other stuff on the side with the fame power you have?

@mikesgarage18 April 9, 2024 - 6:29 am

He makes sense. A lot of people out here promoting big corporate brands like Spotify, Amazon, Google, bandcamp, Cdbaby, Distrokid, Tunecore, soundcloud but those companies aren't giving nearly enough back in terms of the royalties they're grabbing from you. Highway robbery.

@dgmgneco1516 April 9, 2024 - 6:29 am
