Who better than the Piano Man himself to pick the Top 5 Billy Joel songs of all time? Hint: ‘Vienna’ is number five.

The thing is there are just so many great songs that mean so much to us in different ways. My favourite five change regularly 😂
I remember taking a taxi in Gumi, South Korea when "Uptown Girl" came on the radio. The taxi driver, like many Koreans, was a fan of the song and asked me, "What 'Uptown'?" Using my limited Korean, I attempted to translate, "um… buja dongnae" (rich neighborhood). The taxi driver pointed out the window to the ritzy area near Gumi City Hall where there are a lot of high class restaurants, pubs, expensive apartments, fancy cars and where civil servants go to eat and chit chat… "This… 'Uptown'". He was correct. Thank you, Billy Joel for writing so many songs loved by people around the world, as well as an opportunity for an impromptu mini- English lesson.
Looks like my English teacher
"You May Be Right" is one of my very first "favorite songs" ever. I bought the 7" when I was still in elementary school. Love that it made his list.
“I’ve loved these days” is my #1 from him
Replace 'You May be Right' with 'C'etait Toi," then replace "She's Right on Time" with 'Scandanavian Skies' and that my list.
5. Vienna
4. And So it Goes
3. C'etait Toi
2. Scandanvian Skies
1. Scenes From an Italian Restaurant.
5. Scenes from an Italian Restaurant
4. Honesty
3. New York State Of Mind
2. Just the way you are
1. And So It Goes
He made reality more real
with providing his own actual take on it artistically
and it was a gas continually
a never ending joie…‼️

Goodnight Saigon
the truth is better than late-light night story telling
He IS The Entertainer!
He is smart. He wrote some all time great songs that he could never come close to if he tried to write newer stuff.
And so it goes

Scenes from an Italian restaurant has always been my favorite show my favorite song. Glad he thinks the same
Fantastic
I realise it's Billy's personal choices, but 'You may be right ' is not a great song, nor is 'She's right on time'. Billy was put on the spot here. There are many better songs eg. New York State of Mind, You're my home, Big Man on Mulberry Street, Angry Young Man, Say Goodbye to Hollywood, Allentown.
Uptown girl love how he channels Frankie valley voc
A host take-over of the talk-show could happen, it would be friendly, as in the case of Harry Styles.
Billy Joel .. what a legend !! Love frim an Irish fxn.
Why is this interview so hilarious 😂
Billy Joel is such a Douche bag!🪨
'The Stranger' is for sure my favorite song by Billy Joel
As someone who used to sing and play in bars, Piano Man is my anthem.
All for Leyna
My favorite Billy Joel song is definitely The Downeaster Alexa
Life is wonderful when a guy who looks like Billy Joel, and even in his youth he was never good looking, can get super models like Christie Brinkley and Elle Macpherson fighting for his love.
CaptJack
Just bought The Nylon Curtain. I couldn't help but cry while listening to "Goodnight Saigon."
