Lies The Motley Crue Movie Told You

Netflix’s The Dirt is a biographical comedy-drama about arguably one the most popular and controversial bands of the ’80s and ’90s, Motley Crue.

The movie does its best to depict the legendary rockers’ rise to fame, their infamous offstage antics, and off-the-wall partying lifestyles. The band members were played by Douglass Booth, Game of Thrones’ Iwan Rheon, Daniel Webber, and rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

However, although the movie did its best to capture the essence of Motley Crue, it didn’t get everything right. Here are lies The Dirt told you about Motley Crue.

What did you think about the new Motley Crue movie, The Dirt?
@TheBenjammin April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Vince neil should have spent years in prison.
@bondjovi4595 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Makes you wonder. Kind of like the Slash/Duff vs. Axel dispute. One day they are arguing, next day they are performing at a concert.
@alericc1889 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
For those that remember RATT....WTF, RATT is one of the best bands of the time.
@gianc6484 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
❤❤LOVE JESUS CHRIST ❤❤
@stephengallagher2209 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Biggest Hollywood lie was... sympathetic black paramedic saying 'do you know who this is? It Nikki muddafukin Sixx, yo', ain't no ways he' dyin' on mah watch!', whereas, he was saved by white people.
@sess845 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Fat phobia. Wish I were surprised.
@bikerider4326 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Mick Mars was a bully towards “fat” people and looks like he turned into a physical freak himself in the end… 😂 ain’t life just dandy?
@user-sq3nl3dh6g April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Good coke
@isthatyoursomnomnom April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Motley Crue was Mick Mars carrying 3 druggie dipshhts on his back for 40 years.
@Tasnim1970 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
What do I think? I think the entire 80s rock/metal scene was not what we all believed or related to when we were going through it. Motley Crue most of us maybe thought were 4 great buddies wanting to make music and drink and rebel in life. But now I think they were just posers. Yes they did make great music but it was not for the joy of making music or anything like that. It was just a way to make lots of money to fuel their drug habits.. I mean look how they rip on each other and shyt and they are still doing it today..look at the Girls Girls Girls video for example..4 cool dudes hanging out at strip bars drinking like the best of friends..yeah whatever..poser video..alot of us were outcasts growing up trying to find people we could relate to etc and here we had all these great bands looking on the outside like they were great friends and it was all BS. In the end we see all these guys were only thinking of themselves...oh my lyrics have to be in..oh my drum or guitar solo must be in etc etc..how many great bands broke apart because of egos and selfishness..not at all what they portrayed to the public. Crue was my favourite band..but now I look at them in disappointment..I mean think about it..what these guys had going..they were touring all over the world..making awesome music..making tons of money..had girls just falling over them..had other dudes around that they could have been best buddies with..they had it all..and in the end they fall apart due to greed or ego..no different than the record execs they complained about. Ok yes you partied hard..had lots of girls and houses and cars etc..but inside it seems most of them were shyt..fakes...posers. Yeah many might disagree but hey thats your fking opinion and I have mine..I am not falling into your woke bs that I need to agree with you.

As someone who is under 30 and loves rock, I would love a biopic documentary on all these great rock bands, velvet revolver, Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith. Would watch it all after seeing this, makes me appreciate American culture that our parents had
@awickedtribe April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
And 'Nikki Six' was the name of another guy in a band playing the clubs... 'Sixx' loved the name so he started calling himself it, then later sued the original Nikki Six to get the rights to the name.
@michaelscaccia1454 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
This band is nothing anymore after what they did to Mick
@Nino-vt9bt April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
I loved & still do . Loved the book & the film . Wish i could buy dvd ❤❤
@jorggamingcr409 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
An obvious flag of why the movie is how it is, is the director...Jeff Tremaine, don't expect mch from him
@rc-st9pg April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Mick did a terrible job raising those morons. But the man can play a guitar, even with a jacked up back. Ill bet wearing that guitar on his back for hours at a time was a real bitch. Nothing but respect for that guy.
@belzebul April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
What's the background track in this video?
@londonjohnson6058 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
It wasn't lies they said in an interview that some was made up because they were constantly on drugs so they don't remember a lot of whay happened
@robertnix1999 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Here's a lie Vince Neil can sing. And Nikki can play bass 😂😂😂. They suck so bad!!!! If it weren't for mick and Tommy there would be no motley
@kuutti6777 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
I was born just after Razzle died, I had no idea. And yes, I'm ancient
@user-me3er7lm1o April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Rudy Sarzo from quiet riot said that Sixx couldn’t even tune his bass let alone play very well.
@clintn6677 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
There is a lot of B.S. in Nikki's books as any who was strung out on heroin can tell you.
@woodysdrums8083 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
And no mention of tommy leaving and girl replacing him
@ROOKTABULA April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Motley Spew have ALWAYS lied. I talked to Ferano (Sixx) and Mars (Deal) during an interview on Much Music where they lied they'd change the band name of a member left "because it wouldn't be Motley Crue". Ffwd a bit and Motley Crue with Crabby on vox.
@FlameARS April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Tommy does mention suite 19 in the movie, and Slash was with Nikki when he "died" in the movie as well
@Chadsolderbrotherbrad1111 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Their music was trash 🚮 😊
@rajkumarbaishya9726 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Now, this story looks more real
@skepptix April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
slash was on the couch in the scene, pay attention.
@fkurfeelings6938 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Tbh I believe the movies depiction of the first show over what supposedly happened. The movie felt more real than to just open up for a well established band
@DaveDontKnowJack April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Just like all things Motley: A TOTAL LIE AND FABRICATION. Used to love these guys until the came out as frauds!!! Go away Crue!!!
@j.p.f.4007 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
The Crue produced great music. That's all I care about.
@ladyjdabull5847 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
I actually Loved this movie one of my favorite 80s rock band movies
@jamesrobertson8495 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Look isn’t it enough just to love and share their lives. Because what ever the real story it was their lives. Personally they were brothers with a sound that surpasses the the ages. I’ve just found the crue.
@scottysmediaproductions April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
The book is brilliant. I loved Corrabi as lead singer. He gave the band a harder edge. Vince is a shit, unfit live singer. I use to love The Crue. Not anymore.
@mlm32809 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
The film alters more than just what is mentioned here. They depict Sharise being pregnant at the time of Vince’s car accident which isn’t true. Sharise gave birth to Skylar during the timeframe of the Dr. Feelgood tour. They also show the car Vince wrecked as a corvette, it was actually a pantera.
@mattgoett2799 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
In the book the part of Vince's daughter dying of cancer broke my heart. Whenever I re-read The Dirt I skip that chapter because it's so depressing. The movie was fine but I was angry when Nikki tried to convince Vince to rejoin the band and then: "Oh yeah, by the way, sorry about your daughter, but man, come back!". It left a bitter taste in my mouth.
@squeguinquack2570 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Movie: Makes a few continuity errors
This guy: THE MOVIE IS LYING TO YOU REEEE
@kelsawyers3597 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Lita Ford was never mentioned or a character. She helped them
@Vicrattlehead033 April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
For those that remember Ratt? How come you didn't say that about Razzle or Hanoi?
@MzLunaCee April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
Yeah, they binned the rape of the girl in the Motley house, the lawyers meeting when Vince really rejoined, all the internal fistfights, etc. Entertaining film but light on facts.
@MzLunaCee April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
They were good live until about mid 90's, then it all fell apart. Should have quit when they were ahead, now just a laughing stock.
@JohnDoe-bw7bq April 9, 2024 - 11:53 am
The movie puts a Good Fellas light on Mick, but really... there is only a Mick light on Mick, and there is only Mick, to describe Mick.
.Mick is Motley!!!!!!!
