We were made to watch ‘the sound of music’ by our school. Its wonderful movie!
My favorites are Goldfinger, man with no name trilogy and Pyscho.
What about Ocean's 11?
Good Bad and Ugly the only film listed that merits Top Ten. Bedford Incident most powerful ending ever.
6:51 One of the Greatest "Gun Fight Scene" in all of Movie History!
4:56 I found this scene to be very "Shocking"!
No West Side Story? This list sucks!
My List
1. Psycho
2. 2001. a Space Odyssey
3. the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

A top 10 list of '60s movies is pretty pointless. It should be at least a top 100 list.
In 60s the doll baed Bolesław prus book
The Mojo list has 4 of my top 12, and the other 6 are very good movies. Here is my top 12:
1. My Fair Lady 1964

11. Dr. Strangelove 1964
12. Elmer Gantry 1960
How could The Wild Bunch not have made the list? A far superior westen than Butch Cassidy or The Good the Bad and the Ugly.
"Butch Cassidy" and "2001" seem so much like early 70s films to me. I mean, compared to "The Graduate" and "Sound of Music"?
I don't agree at all with this list. Obviously, the author does not know Italian or French or Swedish cinema.
This list has forgot “The Birds”
The Apartment???

Psycho (1960)
Lawrence of Arabia & The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is in my Top 10 because of how both epic the films were and the cinematography. I love 2001 because of it’s visuals and how it tells a story without dialogue but movements.
Easy Rider?
Psicosis, Lawrence of Arabia, To Kill a Mockingbird, América América, Dr. Strangelove, 8 et 1/2, The Manchurian Candidate, The Leopard, Plácido, 2001 a space oddisey, Bonnie and Clyde, Rosemary's Baby.
when i saw the birds in 1963 at the age of 13, that was sthe first, and so far the only, movie that ever scared me. it was scary because it wasn't about anything supernatural or about monsters.
Dropping acid and watching 2001 is such a great memory.
Point Blank, Bullitt, The Manchurian Candidate, The Hustler, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence, In the Heat of the Night.
Midnight Cowboy should be in the top five, not an honourable mention. The Sound of Music should not even be on there imo
I find I disagree alot with these Watchmojo lists.
Psycho is definitely NOT better than 2001 lol
you missed out Academy Award winner 'The Apartment'
No disrespect but please someone explain to me how the hell 2001 a space odyssey is a numbers 1 film of the 1960s. Everytime i watch this movie it makes me sleep
I'm very glad to see Psycho at the top of the list. It's my favorite movie after Night of the Living Dead. Some other of my favorite 60s films are Touch of Evil, Cape Fear, Experiment in Terror and Lady in a Cage.
My Top 5
1. The Good The Bad And The Ugly
2. Gold Finger
3. Psycho
4. Planet Of The Apes
5. 2001: A Space Odyssey
Yep, I agree… One of my favorite movies is The Good The Bad and the Ugly too. This epic master piece of cinema demonstrates with abject passion that in this evil world… there are those who unselfishly give of them selves for the good and benefit of the many ( the good ). Then there are those who seek to survive in this world through cheating, theft, subterfuge & duplicity ( the bad ). Then every now and again there are those individuals that not only seek to survive in this world through selfishness, rotten deceit, lying cheating & theft but will do their own fellow man/ woman In through cold blooded murder at mere whim of satisfaction and benefit, (Now that's just plain " UGLY " ) Ladies and Gentlemen what is the moral to this story here ? Extreme gain always leads to tragic loss especially when foul play and murder are at play here. Fade to Black!…
