Suggestion: "Fabled Lands" book series.
Great video! I discovered this game this morning and now I'm torn between getting this, or Tiny Epic Quest, or coffee roaster. I was considering 7th Continent, but that seems far too heavy for me. I've been playing board games for a year or so now and the heaviest games we have are viticulture and Concordia but now I want a decent solo game. Advice would be appreciated 😀

Would you recommend this as a solo game?
Great video man. But on the pen&paper part, it doesn't actually take very long to learn the rules and the world building for a great many system (rule-light one). The only pre-requisite is that you like to tell a story and make things up nicely together. If you like those things then I strongly advise you to try out TTRPG. They are much easier to learn than a lot of board games
Legacy of Dragonholt has taken me on an emotional roller-coaster I never thought I would experience from any form of fiction. The heartbreaking tale of Dwindle the Gnome is a story of adventure, love, and loss that I will remember for the rest of my life. Thanks for the recommendation!
If you complete one of the quests, is there any incentive to go back and try to do it a different way, or is it pretty much one and done like Time Stories. I'm interested in LoD, because I don't have time to sit down and do full fledged D&D campaigns, but I don't want to get something that is going to be super limited in what I can do after one or two plays either. Are expansions announced? Is it possible to come up with your own games using the LoD system?
Seems like combat would be very light or nonexistence altogether. FFG Terrinoth games usually have loads of combat which is why I'm apprehensive. The reviewer didn't mention anything but choices.
Might have to pass if there's no juicy dragon slaying

I’m getting the whole choose your own adventure aspect, but I’m curious if there is any winning or losing the game, or do you simply get to the end of the adventure?

Jeremy, thanks for the review. Could you go into more detail in terms of the replayability? Did you finish your campaign? How many hours did it take? Do you see yourself playing through it again? To what extent would the passages from a second playthrough match the first? This seems like a steep price for minimal components, so it would be nice to get a significant number of hours out of it.
There was a time on bgg that this game was briefly in the hotness list. It caught my attention then but it was in the same month where I backed 7th Continent.
This weekend I was planning to buy Mansions of Madness second edition. That game is on my list for a very long time. Great to hear that the same writer also worked on Legacy of Dragonholt.

I personally do not believe that this is a game, more a CYOA with more options than A or B. Don't regard those books as being games either.
In saying that I have nothing against it. It's well thought out and clever, just not my thing.
I was hoping for a solo D&D/ Fighting Fantasy book style of game with dice but this is far from that. For me it's a shame. For everyone else, enjoy.
Sounds just like the lone wolf books/series from my childhood. I wonder if this seemingly simplistic game play would hold my attention however. Thanks for the review!

I totally missed this one initially (under the radar), and first got wind of it from the DT guys and Rob Oren…much appreciate your review and comments and hoping for more in this universe or others (as noted in other comments below).
Great review as always Jeremy (and my wallet curse you :P)! Just wondering, was your experience mainly solo or did you do your run as a group? I'm looking for buy this for soloing and was wondering if that will diminish the experience compared to playing it with a group
Really enjoyed the review. This is definitely one I'm planning on picking up for the story aspect and I really like the way the character traits are worked into the choices.

Jeremy, what is the recommened age for this? Would you say is PG13?
If you don't make it through all six scenarios, can you jump right into a scenario that you missed? Or do you have to start with A New Road every time?
I'm so glad that this amazing game which has gone completely under the radar and underappreciated is getting some traction. Why this wasn't more heavily promoted by Fantasy Flight, I just don't understand.
Sweet, love your review! I like it because of the same reasons you mentioned. Ive a baby a full time job and simply don’t have the time to go on a epic d&d campaign. This is why this game appeals to me so much. Its narrative and still you have this sense of a freedom in the game because of the many different choices you can make. I hope santa will bring me this game! Tanx again for your time you put into making these reviews. Love the production value. I would love to see some kind of behind the scenes video!
I've really been enjoying this game/system. It's fun and easy for anyone to play. Hoping for more adventures and different settings. I'd really love to see them do something in their Arkham universe.
