This may be a dumb question, but I have never used a controller with paddles. How the hell do yall use it without accidentally hitting the paddle buttons on the back? There is no way I could use it without unintentionally hitting the paddles the way I hold the controller.
I have a wolverine v2 pro. I love it…i love the clicky click of the mechanical buttons and the responsiveness is satisfying. I just wish i could macro on the paddles.
Both my standard Controllers got Stick Drift 3 months in
I have the Switch version of the PowerA. It's ok but the back paddles are awful. Cheap, flimsy plastic that can't be replaced.
Go get a Power A controller; either the Fusion Pro 2, which has paddles on the back, or get the Fusion Pro 3 which has back buttons. The reason that I love these controllers is simple, individuals get adaptive triggers, they get a choice of back buttons, or back paddles, and the warranty is a year. To add onto the fact that the warranty is a year, they will replace the controller entirely for almost any reason. This means that no matter what it may be, stick drift, broken adapters, etc, you get a new free controller with another years worth of warranty on top of that. (You may have to buy it separately, and GameStop has a good warranty program as well.) This company is genuinely amazing and really hits hard on giving you controllers that last a long time, as well as feel great in the hands if your an xbox controller kind of person. Furthermore they have controllers which are cheaper, but only have 2 back buttons instead of 4, and some may or may not have adaptive triggers. These cheaper ones are anywhere from $32-$45. Where as if you go with the either pro version they run you just around $79-$85 dollars. With the warranty included if you so choose to go through GameStop, you are looking at around $101 buckaroonies. That is still less than half the price, I can not preach to anyone enough the quality, reliability, and performance of these controllers. Much love to those folks over at PowerA for bringing the people what we deserve. You will not regret getting any PowerA controller, Pro edition or not. To add onto that, you can change the face plates as well. Or just take the one you have on off which is held on through magnets and just hydro dip it yourself, then put a clear coat on. (on the pro edition controllers)
The fusion pro is great. Holds up really well and I haven't had an issue with stick drift yet
Which controller does not cost $120 to $150? Absolutely absurd!
My powera controller had soooooooooo many issues I switched to the elite 2 and have been using it for a while now and I have no issues
Have had ZERO issues with my Elite 2 for over a year. I have dropped it a few times tho 😂
Absolutely no one cares about that share button. It was just a feature sony fans bragged about, they didn't use it either.
Bro doesn't know about the Xbox 360 thumsticks "wider discs"😂
How smelly is that Fusion case tho? I hate strong "new product" smells so if a normal person finds it smelly then it might drive me crazy haha.
preety sad how it dont work for ps4 🙁
fusion pro is the best xbox controller imo. Better than elite and wolverine havent tried battlebeavers tho
I've had the Elite Series 2 for a long time now, and I still have virtually zero stick drift. I don't know what you people do to your controllers but here's a thought… It's $200, treat it like you can't afford to buy another one, even if you can. I have Scuf controllers from my 360 or my Xbox One that are ten years old and still have no stick drift or very little at least.
So the power A controller is cheaper because its a weird controller right?
The elite 2 might be the BIGGEST PIECE OF DOGShit controller I’ve ever bought. The fusion pro 2 is great I would recommend that one by far. Stay away from the elite 2 and save your money
if i was god i would have made them all gay fr
It sound like a keyboard
I am a pc gamer. Ive used the ps4 dualshock 4 which i gave away a while back and now im using powera enhanced controller (not the LED one), and it works fine for casual gaming but I want something better. I have found a powera fusion 2 for 49.99, $54 after fees and a dualshock 4 for about $60 after fees. Which do u think is the better controller for reliability and comfort use? Which would u choose?
Not the Elite stick broke in less than 2 months
I have have 4 elite 2s and the all broke after 1month – 6months of use. I don’t throw it or anything and I don’t play all the time as I have a day job but is seems to always the be RB and LB that give me problems. I would advise looking for something other than the elite series 2….
Until Microsoft decides to use hall effect based sticks, instead those cheap potentiometer joysticks. They will always be trash, and no more than a paper weigh tevery 3 months. 😂😂 They want people to buy 4 controllers a year. I pray everyday for a " Planned Obsolescence" class action settlement.
Do NOT! I repeat, do NOT but the fusion controller. I've went through two. The fusion one and two. Same problems with both. You'll be buying replacement paddle boards every two weeks. The joysticks are trash, you can forget fine aiming. Headset jack didn't last more than a month on both controllers before I had sound problems. The fusion controllers are TRASH.
I had an Elite controller it lasted 2 years and now is falling apart. I'm trying a Fusion now.
On my 2nd elite controller. It is now having bumper issues. For as expensive as they are that unexcusable.
All I want is a well made basic controller for a fair price
im good honestly would rather pay for the Fusion pro 2 thats signifincalty cheaper and actaully reliable. have had too many friends telling me having problems with the elite series 2 controller
Fusion pro and pro 2 are amazing. But its all luck guys, ive had one last 4 years no drift no issues. And two others give out after about 2 years. Which is solid. Ive had many elites as well, they both have pretty poor builds in general inside imo. But the elites ive had many times as well an they do not hold up near as well at the end of a two year period from my experience. Im very rough on sticks and the fp2 was much better in general for not having issues like drift or port issues exc after various years of usage.. but ive had friends get faulty ones outta box, drift happened for them about after 6 months. This was the case for both controllers, so everyone's experiences are a little different. If you're a gamer looking for a controller to use for the rest of your days not ever buying full price again bc of warranty and don't want to deal with latency with garbage wireless that casual players swear by? XD Get a battle beaver or a scuff. Even these will fall apart at the 2 year mark. But we'll worth as it gets renewed as long as you aren't a forgetful Fred.
Elites are great but they’re trash too. I’ve had two in a row go. Right bumper failure. Twice in a row.
And it’s all because of a stupid piece of plastic
The main 2 reasons I didn't wanna leave the Fusion 2 was b/c of the share button & being able to control the volume, but i found out about the Tuttle beach audio adapter 4 headsets, that can turn a regular headset into a gaming head set. Not only can u change the volume but u can eq headphones & the mic to fit ur style of play….I also can use 2 paddles so i turned the right upper paddle into a share button
Had both the elite 1 and 2Blk had both of them start having the rubber pop out.
i have the series 2, you will notice that the d pad shifts very easily. i prefered the solid feeling of the stock xbox controller
The wider sticks are xbox 360 sticks
Lets charge a lithium ion battery in a closed case. Great idea.
I know I’m probably gonna get hate for this but stick drift is one of the reasons I like the new ps5 pro controller. It’s not a question of if but when and when it happens you can just swap a 20$ joystick module instead of buying a whole new controller.
We need to normalize having paddles as standalone buttons
The Wolverine Ultimate is designed for Keyboard/Mouse gamers. That's why a lot of console gamers are not comfortable with the back paddles. It's a different layout that's more reminiscent of a WASD grip.
You should buy neither. Go buy groceries instead. Invest. Do something other than spend 200 dollars on a controller that performs the same tasks as a regular one
The shoulder buttons break very easily on the Xbox Controllers
You forgot to recap at the end.
“If you’re looking for a controller that will feel great, look great, have massively well documented issues, and work for only two months, pick up the Xbox Elite Pro 2.”
Both controllers are pretty fancy. But I prefer the original controller. Buttons on controllers that are easily removed tends to break down more easily. I'll stick with my controller that is held with screws, not magnets.
Power A are amazing controllers. but they get drift quickly and if you use them too long they loose their stability in the joy stick.
I prefer the Wolverine V2 Xbox controller.
The fact that they're still using the cheap plastic sticks after years of issues bothers me. The old Xbox 360 controllers are metal pieces that were basically bullet proof. My Elite controller failed shortly after the warranty period, so I'm extra sour about poor build quality and known issues not being addressed.
I just went from Fusion 2 to the elite 2, and let me tell you… the Elite 2 is leagues better in all aspects.
Microsoft uses the cheapest potentiometers. This is why they have stick drift so quick. The electrical contacts wear over time.
I've had the fusion pro 2 for like 9 months and it's still like brand new the joystick grip is still 10/10
