Hi-Fi Rush has arrived on PlayStation 5 and it’s an excellent port of the original Xbox Series X and PC games… with slightly improved shadows. Tom Morgan reminds us of how great this game is, and examines Xbox’s multi-platform record so far. From Ghostwire: Tokyo’s Xbox issues to Pentiment receiving 120Hz support on PS5 first, surely Microsoft’s flagship console should automatically be the best place to play its games and the first platform to receive new features? Great games get a wider audience now and that’s a great thing – but Xbox needs to dot all the Is and cross all the Ts a little more carefully.

That digital ps5 is the best deal in gaming
Why do the console platforms keep switching which side of the screen they're on? That is very irritating.
It is easy to alter the result to take advantage of gaining more views by pleasing only a sector of players, in reality they look the same. although youtube gives me different resolutions to watch your video (480p, 720p60, 1080p60HD, 1440p60HD, 2160p604k)
I see it the same
For fuck sake Microsoft what are u doing?!
I would have liked to hear about load times and the Dualsense implementation.
It's taken nearly 4 years, but digital foundry finally admits that, overall, ps5 plays games better than series x.
I'm happy they released this on Playstation and Switch as a primarily Xbox player. Wish Sony was a bit more like MS with titles like Forespoken, which would do well on Series consoles. I have PS5 and Xbox. It's not cheap to do that for most, so sharing a bit helps.
Imagine gaming on consoles in 2024…
we went from the PS3 running most multiplat games worse to the PS5 running Xbox prior exclusives better than the original launch
a nice otropic filtering
we need one of these for the new ark ue5 version
PS5 is the most powerful console, now imagine PS5 Pro coming with 33 teraflops….
PC fanboys are next 🤣💀
I played this title over Xcloud. It was really painful to see what I thought was gonna be a calibrator to compensate for input lag, only to have it be a "latency check" that'll just tell you there's an issue but not give a way to offset it. I still played through the whole game like that, but… It was really more frustrating than it should've been, otherwise it's a great game
How can you spend this much money and actually getting worst results, sad
Ex-exclusives looking and running better on PlayStation feels like the final nail on Xbox's coffin. PS5 already has better exclusives, generally better versions of multiplatform games, a better streaming service, a better controller, faster and non-proprietary SSD and a VR headset.
Objectively, what's the point in buying an Xbox Series?
Remember when PlayStation players begged for hi fi to come to there consoles it was funny. Glad i favorite xbox
I’m lucky to have the PS5 and Series X but this a stupid move by Xbox, great way to kill your own brand identity. Xbox needs more exclusives not less. Do you think Nintendo would allow Mario on PS5 or Xbox hell no! They understand the value of the IP otherwise what is the point in Xbox?! The next thing will be it runs better on PS5! Xbox is always on the back foot at the moment, sorry it’s poor management and leadership with zero focus on your loyal customers base. 👎
Xbox with Phil Spencer is a disgrace, shut it down!
That's why teraflops mean nothing ps just designed an easy console to develop for even Microsoft knows that now!!
Hahahhaha – mighty Series X – with the worst shadows and lacking detail.
Can't wait for Starfield in 60fps on Ps5.
Where is the physical version??
I feel that microsoft shot themseleves in the foot with the existence of the series s so those that are developing for xbox have 2 consoles to develop instead of 1 like on playstation this means less time for both consoles and the results speak for themselves based on most of digital foundries videos this generation.
I certainly love glueing my face to the TV trying to find imperfections in the games I play. Definitely my favorite thing to do when playing games…
