The creature in Deep Rising, Octalus, is considered to be a giant mutated worm. Either an ottoia worm, or a bobbit worm.

You forgot to include the Giant Squid from The Beast (1996) and the Giant Octopus from Octopus (2000) and its sequel.
@maxwest6595 April 5, 2024 - 11:27 pm
You've understimated the size of the octolus by several times. A creature that small couldn't stop a cruise ship dead in the water or extends its tentacles throughout the ship. If you had done your research, you 6 have found the original screenplay shows that the body of the creature is comparable to the cruise ship.

The version of Cthulhu from "Underwater" ought to be on this list somewhere. (The movie never actually uses the name "Cthulhu" for the creature or "Deep Ones" for the smaller monsters that swarm around it, but the director has identified it with the Lovecraftian Great Old One.)
@timojahrling3569 April 5, 2024 - 11:27 pm
