There was never any doubt what number 1 was going to be. Love the song, but the video was pretty awful.
@SynestriaVI April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
I genuinely don't really understand where we decided it was okay to bully kids like Jenna Rose and Allison Gold when neither of them were in charge of anything that happened with their music videos.
@jameslucas5590 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Billy looks like Richard Simmons.workout video.
@WENOTMEPRODUCTIONS April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am

@smartaMartini April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Sean Combs "playing a criminal" 😐
@yeshgv9340 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Katy Perry's career is not destroyed.
@sheldoncooper8199 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Well Thankfully Avril Lavigne is back to her Punk Pop Roots now.
@Renegade_2023 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
I think squire invented cringe with that video. Secondhand embarrassing! 😳
@ripwednesdayadams April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
this list sucks much like everything this channel releases. either the artist didn’t have a career to begin with or it didn’t end it.
@zmbdog April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
If this topic exists for any reason, it's "Rock Me Tonight".
@maynardsmoreland April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
"Heartbeat" - Don Johnson, 1986
@graffitiwomen April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Well, this was a total waste of my time. It's why I uunsubsidized. 🤮😔
@lonewolf6693 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am

@serenarose54 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Where is Rap Devil?
@spilladabaliaaa April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Nas didn't deserve the backlash and it's all Puff Daddy's fault anyway
@martinwakefield8138 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
I haf almost lost what very little faith I had left in Watch Mojo until the very end, when they got it right with Billy Squire. You're welcome for my comment
@sandwichninja April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
What total shitters. The title clearly says "destroyed" then the first thing they say in the actual video is "had a negative impact on"....

Just another bullshit video where they try to tell you things are "racist" or "controversial" as if you should give a shit.
@csh43166 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
I saw Billy Squier when he opened for Foreigner in 1981. It's too bad the "Rock Me Tonite" video doomed his career, because he put on a heck of a show. He sounded great and was a great performer.
@sIither April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Blurred lines is still one of the worst songs I've ever heard. Except for maybe who let the dogs out or anything kid rock ever did.
@adammarshall4317 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Katy Perry's rise was used at Hillary Clinton"s campaign. Radios banned her, it was her first flop
Prodigy : baby's got a temper .. censored
Iggy azalea : booty & pretty girls
@nerrade April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Everybody here was thinking Blurred Lines has to be number one on this list but then Billy Squire dusts off his knees and says "Hold my beer..."
@atiyaspence4301 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
I really like Nas:s song- You can hate me now. The song is awesome, video- very disrespectful
@samanthahayes8583 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
With Avril, people also believed the real artist died and her double took over hence her changed sound, look, etc etc.
@justinclark8867 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Funny enough, Rock Me Tonite is a far better song than the rest of the list. As for the video, it ain't my cup of tea but it's more cheesy and silly, than cringey, especially compared to other videos from the 80's.
@brandonpage7087 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
I know i'm truly getting old, when i only recognize only a few of the songs, on this list, lmao!!
@Historicutuber April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
I actually like that Katy Perry music video !
@SmokinAcesProd April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Yea Hate Me Now video did not ruin literally ANYONES career 😂
@stephaniecody8031 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Kid rock should drink the water. Literally. Just him though.
@pionosphere April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Yeah, Kid Rock's career was dead way before 2021
@meghansullivan6812 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
billy squier seems sick haha
@unfluster April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Everything on WatchMojo is just plain ridiculous.
@juliemagana40 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
The big bad wolf is hysterical. It wasn't supposed to be taken as a serious artistic video
@TheDopekitty April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
I don't even know half of these songs/artists so maybe there's something to this lol
@josephwest124 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Well, it didn't exactly kill the career, but REO Speedwagon's video for the song "One Lonely Night" was atrocious. The song itself is basically a warning. The narrator is giving advice to a guy who's gotten into a fight with his girlfriend and he's thinking he's right and she was wrong and now, he's having to deal with being alone as a result. The video, for some inane reason, decides to make the guy a "knight" (as in medieval armor and all) to make a pun ('one lonely night"/"one lonely knight"). It absolutely killed my appreciation of the song. (By comparison, Squier's "Rock Me Tonite" video was almost a masterpiece of performance art.)
@ayonmetar2301 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Nobody in Japan thinks of Lavigne's video as offensive. Japanese themself LOVE to overstereotype stuff. Everybody I spoke to when I lived there for two years loved the song and video. The entire Japanese media is over the top, way beyond the "Hello Kitty" music video. Nothing is worse than woke white people feeling the need to be offended for others who are totally fine with it. It is pretty arrogant that woketards feel they are in a position to tell other cultures when they should be offended.
@WerewolfOvWallachia April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
all of this music sucks
@dkakito April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Hello Kitty isnt an oversterotyped Japanese style, Its about her love to HARAJUKU culture, and is loved in Japan...
@johndoe-yw7eb April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
@9:58 Gonna tell my kids that was Richard Simmons.
@Ausnen April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
People are crybabies
@ACCH-cm9ou April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
what really comes to mind watching this is, American mainstream music scene is totally exhausted,no interesting ideas or artists since ages ......Beyonce excluded of course
@sarahreed6709 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
This is an awesome creation! There is not enough talk about using sexual protection even when it comes to oral sex. You’d be surprised by how many people are unaware of how STIs can be spread through oral contact (giving and receiving). Most dental dams are just thin sheets that can easily slip off. So it’s awesome that you created something special for the vulva. Also dental dams aren’t really advertised all that much. You mostly see condoms advertised. So this helps people who want to stay and keep others safe.
@Pathtosucess247 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Hire me
@ManekiNeko1972 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Jenna Rose torpedoed her career but not for "My Jeans". She torpedoed it because the producers convinced her to act sexual for a video called "O.M.G." (which ironically the song is half-decent) but the video which features oversexualized twelve year old girls can't be watched without serious pedo vibes coming from it.
@zionred April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
just about all modern pop music is cringe. it just goes to show how most of it is written for and by people who don't really care about music.
@chaos-fk6fs April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
p diddy is such a joke nothing about his lifestyle is christian
@tinglelingaling6 April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
I haven't thought about Billy Squire in years and years lol. I saw him in concert opening for Pat Benatar when I was 13. We all loved his song The Stroke. I haven't heard that in many years either lol. It was my first concert. Good memories.
@Kopetan4egX April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Yeah, definitely "destroyed" suits here... 100% clickbait
@lizardog April 2, 2024 - 11:49 am
Can't imagine why Weird Al would parody a parody like Kid Rock.
