Lol…
Linnert showed more interest in partying during his early NFL years and Young could not even hold a job down period. The U. of Texas gave him a non-sports position after he failed in the NFL, and frequently failed to show up for work.
They characterized a generation of stars who didn't understand that success doesn't fall in your lap, despite being great. The hype and adulation destroyed their attitudes.
He was drafted first overall by the Quebec Nordiques but didn't want to play for them.
He suffered one concussion after another.
Later, he was traded to Philadelphia.
Me: Nobody FORCED you to make the choices that you did.
#6 JaMarcus Russell (dozens of NFL football fans in the world will keep fretting about him coming back to the NFL in 2020)
#1 Ryan Leaf (dozens of NFL football fans in the world will keep fretting about him coming back to the NFL in 2020)
Daisuke Matsuzaka - Press were super excited about him (like 'The Pitcher equivalent of Ichiro Suzuki' excited) and the Red Sox signed him to a 6 year contract worth 50 million after outbidding several other teams. He lasted 7 seasons in MLB with less than 60 wins to his name. SERIOUSLY didn't live up to the hype.
