This is gonna sound harsh but I don't think Phil is smart enough to do this or any of the xbox leadership. We've been getting effectively cucked for 10 years it's always oh this will be the year . So I have 0 faith in them what so ever .

Xbox peaked with the 360, and has been irrelevant sense. They finally started to pick up some steam this year and late last year but are about to throw it away 😂.

If the rumors are even in part true, then I'm pretty certain that Xbox hardware is dead after this generation.

Having access to purchasing game pass alone is not enough to sell a console. You need that excitement that comes from the core community to draw people in.

I am torn RE: The Xbox thing, because while I am sure that the entire industry would benefit if the Consoles just became like Blu-Ray players, Microsoft's 'Gamepass' Model is the devil.

I wish Gamers would come to their senses about how they are being forced into, 'Never Owning a Game and Not being Happy', I then realize what I just wished for and saw the hopelessness of that wish. A 9th level spell just Doesn't have the 'Oomph'.

I think one of the biggest reasons Millennials/ GenZ & even some of my Fellow GenX'ers don't see this plow barreling down on them is that they are just so USED to paying a monthly fee. Monthly Fee, Monthly Fee, EVERYTHING these days is a 'Monthly Fee', so what's the big deal, right? Well, servers go down, constant alertness for the Spyware/Malware Corps love to inject into their launchers, Steam ITSELF hits all the buttons for a piece of Malware. GOG .com no DRM, Much Superior.

What about what this could do to modding communities? What about if a Company decides to just remove a Game... forever? The reasons why Gamepass is a terrible idea that needs to be shown the door every time it knocks are legion.

I love PlayStation my PS5 is my favorite system I’ve ever owned but I don’t think any one system should have exclusives there’s so much they could do when games do well on all platforms sequels to our favorite games cause more people bought it like palworld broke so many sale records but imagine how much more sales it’d have if it were dropped on PlayStation too idk I just feel there’s so much more potential if all games came out on all platforms

Sega did the same thing 20 years ago ... Console's are expensive and Xbox with gamepass dont need a console so release the games everywhere while also offering all the games on gamepass for a fixed monthly cost ... Doing that i think would mean playstation and Nintendo would be more likely to allow to have gamepass on their consoles... They can then track how many users are on gamepass ao they can charge xbox alot

Well console game files are getting Larger by the Year so maybe the Next Xbox will be called Xstation A Hybrid console Half PC Half console and will be able to play multiplatform games which you connect to your TV via Hdmi cable

Unplugged my Xbox and put it away now. There is no point investing any more money into it. The only value is Game Pass and if their plan is to bring the service to PlayStation and Nintendo then that's where I need to be. If not PC is my destination to get access to the content.

Microsoft is predominantly a software and services company. Game consoles have been becoming less specialized and standardizing on "like" internals.

I couldn't care less what hardware I play the games that appeal to me on as long as long as the experience is good.

This truly feels like the end of the days for Xbox. Ps6 might sell 200+ million units and GTA is officially an exclusive to PlayStation now (since xbox won’t make any more consoles). I can’t wait for Halo, gears, forza, elder scrolls 6, Indiana jones, hi fi rush and many other games on PlayStation! Great vid!

Yes you could do all that and yet you still have less high-quality titles available on Game Pass then is available on PlayStation PlayStation plus I mean your entire catalog including all the EA play games that are mostly old generation hardware games. You still do not have remotely as many games as PlayStation has an extra Cadillac, and then there’s PS1, PS2 and PS3 games in the premium catalog you just don’t and and to be fair the extra catalog is all quality PS4 and PS five games there are no PS1 two or three games nothing that’s going to look bad or run bad it’s all last Jen and this JenSony is good at marketing what they’re not good at games

You’re not going to experience anything via Game Pass on Sony‘s consul Sony has already stated clearly Game Pass will never be on our consul. They’ve been in talks Microsoft would love to do it, but Sony is never going to allow it and they don’t have to know if Microsoft, or or one of their first party studios wants to put an individual game, that’s currently exclusive to the Xbox community on the Sony platform so be it they’re not gonna care about that. Of course I’ll let you do that that doesn’t help you except it’s it’s another sale and another way to sell. The title doesn’t help in the market, the war over the market share with Sony by the way, is hands-down, crushing still.

Man, are you babbling about nothing first of all Game Pass will never be on Sony not less. Sony gets a gigantic chunk of the subscription individual games being on PlayStation Sony isn’t gonna say no you send the game in for certification like everybody else you agreed to the 30% take on every copy soldand you pass certification and your game will come out on Sony store Game Pass oh it’s not gonna happen. Sony’s already said that not a chance.
