Ponies are sooooo delusional.. 😂

The title is misleading. Xbox didn't "break" anything. Microsoft choosing to stream their games and surrendering exclusivity of formerly Xbox-only titles onto other platforms is not that dramatic. This video contains 5% verifiable fact and 95% speculation. A sophomoric clickbait title and lack of relevant information is part of the reason WhatCulture Gaming videos no longer interest me.

I think this'll be the end of playstation too as if it works for xbox playstation will do same and now there is no competition to push playstation to make better consoles, and games will be made to fit the limitations of streaming!
@michaelfuery9613 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
People are looking at this negatively 1. It now means that starfield and halo will now be on ps5 2. If Xbox exclusives are going to playstation and Nintendo switch then doesn't it open the door to Nintendo and PlayStation games being finally ported on XBOX SERIES X imagine Spiderman, kill zone, the last of us 1&2 and god of war Ragnarok
@Ianspiegel March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Scott's deadpan "shout out to Drowning pool" got me good. 😂
@rikko47 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
They just tryna recover that 69 Billion, so they putting they exclusives on everything lol
@flipyapd2321 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Did this Playstation fanboy really just say the Playstation is almost as powerful as a PC? 🤣
@vohen7362 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
hahahahaha Microsoft realized the million of $ they are loosing with gamepass aint going to be recovered.The plan was good,the execution was trash.Besides,do people realized that the vast majority of Xbox consoles sold,are the series S? Good luck developing games that run that as good as the X or PS5.
Now they will beg sony to sell their games because,theres billions of dollars at loss.

As an all around gamer, I want all consoles to compete with strategy and new content. However what Xbox is doing (bringing their exclusives/gamepass to PlayStation/Nintendo) is basically saying Xbox is going third party and they’re done competing. “If you can’t beat them, join them” 😮😂
@allistertenpenny6871 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
The next Xbox console should be a handheld streaming device. Like ROG ally or Steam Deck.
@carlosmelendez8317 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
I still have a ton of dvds and blurays and i can watch them anytime i want and dont have to pay a subscription service to keep watching them.
@carlosmelendez8317 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Goodbye gamestop. Thank Microsoft
@FILTHYGEARSMUSIC March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Rubbish channels like
This constantly saying gamepass is great value while the brand died is part of the reason for all this
@cynic5581 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Maybe I’m hypersensitive to it but the latency when streaming is just too high for me to enjoy the game. Never mind when I try to use GamePass to stream on my TV or iPad I’m always in a queue and just give up before I even get to play.
@roguerifter9724 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Good for Microsoft. I've long said permanent exclusives are bad for everyone that doesn't own every console. They are bad for developers and publishers because they decrease the number of copies of games that sell thus decreasing a games profits, and they are bad for gamers who like games exclusive to different platforms and don't own every platform.

Using timed exclusivity is IMO better for everyone because it encourages people to buy the platform to get the game sooner without cutting off the profits from sales to games who want the game but not enough to buy a system for it.
@matthewblackwell531 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Have they never played a game through GeForce Now?
@codenameu.arctos3747 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Microsoft just realized that the Sega model for video games is incredibly more lucrative. Sega has made a hell of a lot more money sense leaving the hardware space and pushing software
@fabianrodriguez1811 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
My fear is going to be the price of games from now on.
@TimothyCollins March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
If you look at it from the POV of MS, going with a game pass future is preferable. Then they can ignore hardware manufacturing, supply chain problems, dealing with physical vendors like Target and Wal-Mart and so on and just focus on the software (Which is where MS really wants to be). And then they get to expand their subscriptions to other platforms - and the subscription revenue is likely massive. I am unsure if it is so preferable from my gamer POV... but from the view at the top of MS, yeah, I can see why they might want that.
@Aquaflow_ March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
So what does this mean for Xbox players? 🤠 all our games will be useless going forward?
@DBLCreations March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Well i would rather buy a €70 game than renting it to be honest. Only when it's available as a physical game though!
@ricardodutton1912 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Exclusives were a rubbish idea since they were first introduced way back. Not only does it limit players from experiencing a game, but it forced people to purchase an entire system which is something I could never wrap my head around.
@Lorronzo March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
The potential move from console production to service provider/game developer eliminates the huge cost of technological research and development.

It is widely known that consoles sell at a loss with the intention to make their money back through software sales and subscriptions services.

This move would give them the advantage of selling games without the financial drain/ risk of also releasing a console. It could also, in time, give them a significant amount of power over your wallet.
@NieR.Amanda March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Why is it that every time Xbox gets it wrong, and has to pivot in policy, that journalists spread fear for the whole gaming Industry? They are self-admitted third-place, they obscure their sales figures, and their foothold in the gaming industry has always been heavily subsidized by parent company Microsoft's money from a stranglehold in other business areas. Their current gaming problems are self-inflicted, and it was their own lengthy silence on what was going wrong that has led to any perceived shock over this sudden change in direction.
@exodore2000 March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
Did Sega do it when they pulled the Dreamcast in March of 2001?
@MrAdamFC March 29, 2024 - 8:29 pm
They may pull an old console vs PC view on this problem. In which, sure the consoles at the time got splinter cell & ghost recon but they 'weren't the most complete versions and in some cases were drastically different in both design and scope. If Microsoft keeps stating they are stocking up on PlayStation Dev kits. Then this could turn into a Last of Us on PC situation. In which, Sure Halo is on PlayStation but it doesn't play as smooth or look as good as it does on Xbox. So you drip feed your audience over so they end up buying your console for the definite experience. We are seeing that happen now with apple, Sure you can play the PlayStation exclusive Death Stranding on your iPhone but the real question is. Do you want to ?
