By the way, mentioning real car chases on film, have you seen The French Connection (1971)? Gene Hackman is a detective (in New York I believe), in pursuit of a heroin dealer. Anyway, the live car chases throughout the city, under the El trains etc., is truly hard to believe. You're actually on the edge of your seat the entire time. NO computer animation of any kind is going on in this film.
Try to find it, I believe you'll be impressed.

You missed "Dancer in the Dark". Such an excellent heart wrenching movie, I'll never watch again. Only a excellent director with superior actors can affect most peoples memories to this extent.
