Whilst it's a nifty gadget, the ball itself isn't going to be a big player in the way they see it; it could have longer term success with children and people with special needs but not with musicians.

They seem to think that people either don't play music or are pros, with nothing in between. This is simply not the case. Anyone can start producing music these days pretty cheaply with kit and software that gives you much greater control over your work flow and the music you want to play. You definitely don't have to be a pro to use the multitude of equipment that's already available.

Sure, the ball seems fun but it's definitely a gimmick.

What is it? A stupid ball that makes a noise? Who cares? Furthermore, it is not a musical instrument. It is a ball. In order to "play" this instrument you must learn how to throw a ball around. This, as we all know, is not how musical instruments work. In conclusion...I'm out.

The video they showed of someone supposedly good at it was shit. It needs to be juggled or patter caked in schools where people join in together with multiple balls for this to catch on I’d say.

I want a smaller one for my cats, with the option of range different sounds. My cats love toys that make noise. I'm always finding a noise toy on my bed next to me when I wake up.
