Looking forward to the "Podcast" on Friday. Xbox the brand is over and subscribe-pass will be pushed. + with the podcast they won't have to answer any uncomfortable questions about Phil firing 2,000 workers. Dumpster fire...can't wait.

Microsoft wants to be Netflix on every tv, phone, cpu whatever. Saw this coming 8-10 years ago. Just wait till games mimick all the subs for shows and movies like apple to watch this, paramount to watch that, prime to enjoy this and crunchyroll to have that. It's going to be the same here people. Give it another 8 years and you will only be able to play epic games on the epic games app, Microsoft content on their app. And so on and so on. Why you think they were buying up as much as they can. Just like others, they all want their own content for the future. Looking forward to the Sega app...what a great future, keep buying digital sheep.

I've got a playstation simply because PS have the better exclusives , i reckon xbox will count on xbox Pass, plus let's be honest it's MIRCOSOFT. They own PC which do eventually get PS exclusive games. I'm excited getting the likes of GOW and halo on PS.

I like much of your content, however you guys come across as very transparently biased against Xbox most of the time. I appreciate that you’re more passionate about PlayStation, however, you’d benefit from having gaming videos with more of a diverse set of opinions and view points…and also not making these little cringy jabs at Microsoft/Xbox.

If you're upset that Xbox exclusives might come to playstation, you're an idiot. Microsoft spent an incomprehensible amount of money in their attempt to buy the gaming industry. They need to do this to recoup some of their loses.

If you're upset that Sony now may be able to set market prices, you're not upset about a single company doing that. You're upset its not Xbox doing it because you were fine with them trying to buy any and every successful developer there is. If you want your precious Xbox to survive at all and not see the companies they bought break free they need to make money.

Xbox hasn't outsold Playstation and platforms are usually sold for around cost to make. They don't make money off of them at least not enough to survive. In order for Xbox not to get shut down Microsoft needs to see a return on the money they spent meaning they have to let exclusives become multiplatform

I've been a fan of the Xbox series of consoles since the original Xbox I have all of the Consoles save for the Series S (I just can't get behind digital only consoles). IMO the XBOX is not going anywhere, it may not be beating the PS5 in sales but it's damn sure not going bankrupt. Microsoft needs to play Sony's make it exclusive game better than Sony. I find it funny how Sony has been pointing the finger at Microsoft and saying that Microsoft is going to Monopolize Popular Game titles now that Microsoft has the opportunity to do so.

Obviously the concern is: If Microsoft puts their games on other platforms then people might prefer to buy say ps5/6 instead of an Xbox because they would have Sony games and Microsoft games probably making the next Xbox consoles less successful and with that less support from 3rd parties and such, i think thats a valid concern but i believe Microsoft could counterbalance that with other stuff, for example when the original Xbox was going to be released the idea was to have a console that could let you play more of the PC gaming catalogue, which with the years in someway has been real but not to a huge degree, so maybe Microsoft will give their games on game pass for Xbox owners and also try to make their Xbox console more appealing for PC gaming companies, in short you would use Xbox for game pass, Microsoft games and a lot of PC gaming.

Gamepass is limited. It seems like a good deal but the price of second hand games means you’re losing money with it and you own nothing. I don’t see gamepass or the expanded ps+ as good value.

Surface has improved, we have owned 4 (still own 2) and we love them. I think that team of designers really hit something that was ahead of its time, I trust that team with a future console.

I cant see them getting rid of the console box. At least yet. Thats where the hardware gets its power from. Unless they can master streaming which even if its perfect. Not everyone has access to internet which alienates people.

To say they bought Activision so they could have call of duty in 5 years is a bit disingenuous and wildly speculative. We dont know what their plan was, but to think about it in business terms; yes theyd sell more systems if COD went exclusive, but they'd lose a large percentage of revenue from the game because maybe 10/20% of PlayStation users would buy the rival system just to play it. I doubt there was ever a plan to make it exclusive, it would just help them sustain the games pass model as, let's be real, its incredibly cheap for what it is and im sure its a massive cost. COD would go the ea sports game route and appear on GP maybe 2/3 months before the next one to build hype and maybe get some extra buys.

I am interested to see what the outcome of the podcast is Thursday though, the leaks are probably mostly true but id be interested to see big exclusives move over within a year of being released. I don't think GP alone will shift units.

Imo , consoles will disappear down the line , as they get more expensive people will switch to pc , xbox see’s that and wants to capitalise by putting there games everywhere to get more money , for me they are doing it to soon , but I can see them putting there games everywhere and at some point stopping consoles and maybe just pushing game pass , the handheld device and maybe a Xbox stick

I like how people go, "Exclusives matter." In the end, its profit, and Microsoft, if goes well, just scored. Why waste time in the development of when it's on your competitors dime to develop consoles. They moved to pc as well, just seems like people are measuring exclusives, but those who are entrenched, are entrenched now those sony players have more games and Microsoft can capitalize on software

I the feeling that all the games Xbox agreed to not make exclusive, in the Blizzard/Activision acquisition, are going to be locked behind Gamepass.
They'll still be available on PlayStation, you'll just have to have a Gamepass subscription to play them...
