You didn't miss anything from the crafting. You need several solar systems worth of bases to do anything productive, but the systems that move things between worlds doesn't work properly, and it's a buggy logistical nightmare to attempt to make it function

the problem is not the "boxes", the problem is that there's nothing to do within, useless crafting / outposts / exploration. Perhaps you get 1-2 beautiful screenshots but that's it. I can cope with a bad engine and design if there's something worthwhile to do but there's not. I did build outposts and tried to make crafting do something, but I realized it's useless and quit it. No reason to explore either, there's nothing useful or interesting even. Battles are ok-ish, even on hardest they're easy but sometimes I had to duck, stealth and maneuver so that's something, but there's better shooters so...

For a $90 game it better be worth it. But Starfield looks at best mediocre. I would have a hard time paying that for even top tier games.

Just put to one side for a couple of years, maybe it will get better. In the mean time we can play Fallout 4 and Fallout London is on its way. Happy days ! 🙂

I believe the development team behind skyrim was ideal size were as it wasn't that big but just right were the team could still actually communicate witjh one anither and keeps the game flowing fine ,but once it outgrows itself to the point were the left hand dont know what the rights doing then this is what gets churned out.
