I don't see a problem with developers pricing their game as they see fit. Doesn't mean I'd buy it. But if Baldurs Gate 3 was 150bucks retail, I'd not feel robbed at all.

I dont care about day one bugs at all, heck i dont care about week two either ! (aslong it is not agame destroying bug for two weeks).
Its the two "lazy" newest generation of "cry babies" that are used to complain about everything not too there exact likings doing the noise im quite sure !

I do care abit more about server stability on day one to be honest. I mean they have there early access numbers, they are 100% playing. then theres the pre-order people, they are also 100% playing, and then there is the wishlist people … not 100% will play on day one, but asume they will ! now put those numbers together … double it for those doing none of these options. Now make each region server able to handle the result number ! Yes you will waste money on renting to much space some locations. but you can allways close space down. Instead of doing it the other way around piss off half the player base, and make most of those wish list peopel not buy ht egame becaus ehtey see the problem 😛

That being said i still have started on day one every single time knowing server will be unstable ! So its not so importent that it prevents me going on day 1.

I have the game, it’s not only got many bugs, but it has a very bad bug that I think is lethal to my Xbox series X. About once a day the game freezes up and not even pressing the power button on my Xbox works when it happens. I literally have to DISCONNECT the power cord from the Xbox to unfreeze the entire Xbox.

I hate live service games and haven't touched a single one of them after trying the first one. Saying that people want live service games is a bit of a reach, people might be willing to pay for live service games, but I haven't met a single person who actually likes a game for its live service aspect.

You comment as to how amazing it is games like Starcraft Brood War still get playtime, and that in of itself the point. If Live Service wasnt such a problem, GOG wouldn't even need to exist.

When I was a child Pong was the only game out at the time and it had no bugs. I had the first Commodore 64 with Bards Tales up to Vanilla Wow and 40 man raids. A Triple AAA game means different things to people now. To me it means totally polished, stress tested from closed Alpha to Open Beta testing, Full playability (complete game) not we had to leave thing out for time crunch, and tons of play time to complete or get to the so called end of the game or end game play. This also was a premium price game up front even some with a subscription and would be worth the money. Now a triple AAA game is bloated with broken things people do not want and items people do want get cast to the wayside for time crunches for release dates. Yet alone Alpha to Beta are rushed with what seems unwanted feedback from true gamers and bugs get through to final release unfixed. For Skull & Bones to Say this is a Quad AAAA game is a insult to any gamer that really knows what a triple AAA game is supposed to stand up to. To me Quad AAAA means completed no bug game, stress tested with all video card makes configs to make sure no driver issues, all features are complete in game with no bugs, Massive stress tests so zero issues at release and yea just start on your 1st expansion, part 2 or whatever you call it…… and if it is before a year it better be free.

What i never understood is why does a digital game from PS store cost the same as if you buy it in your local store on a Blu-ray. There is no material cost, no shipping cost, no risk of it not being sold or damaged or stolen and they can remove it from the PS store and u are f***ed, yet it's the same price, why is that, why isn't it cheaper, maybe $10 cheaper?
