I’ve seen covers go for way more than this at auction today. Being a verified screen used one id say now it would be worth way more . I used to think the signature reducing value thing was true as the prop master said also , but I’ve seen plenty of cases where it greatly increases value . I had an opportunity to get one of my production made pieces from Power Rangers 2017 signed by Jason David Frank . I chose not to , worried it would hurt the value of the piece . About a year later , he passed away. Had I had him sign it , I guarantee the value would have increased exponentially. Also I should have done it anyway since I don’t plan on selling the piece. Now I get all my production made or screen used pieces signed by actors if possible. At auction I’ve only seen it increase value , not decrease it . Sure , a few people may pass on it , but so many people want this stuff, especially back to the future, it’s irrelevant.

Expert: Once it got signed, it devalued the price. Collectors want it pristine.

The secret when it comes to selling stuff on Pawn Stars is not to sell stuff on pawn stars, but instead use the fame you get from it to sell it to a third party.

I often wonder why people don't think to put stuff on the internet to see what price they can get. I'm sure he could have got more than what he was offered that day (yes I know he sold it eventually)

I agree that having it signed decreases the value. Items that are NOT RARE can become more valuable if they're signed. But rare items? Leave them as they are. Some people need to learn which items should be signed and which ones should not.

On a more optimistic note, I would say that selling can be a matter of finding the right person. Maybe he can find someone who values a rare signed item.

I 100% agree. Any collectable comic or prop should be kept as pristine as possible. If you want someone to sign a prop like this or a comic, use a freaking plastic cover!
