Lulu Khadija Hassan is a well-known Swahili news anchor and filmmaker. She co-hosts “Nipashe Wikendi” on citizen TV with Rashid Abdalla. She is widely regarded as one of Kenya’s best female TV presenters. She is also well-known for her Swahili language fluency and eloquence. Surprisingly, before joining Citizen TV, in 2008 Lulu was a news presenter at Radio Salaam in Mombasa, where she used to read the news in English and not Swahili.
