Why is Hitler a more popular tyrant who masterminded genocide? Because he's from Europe. Certain dictators such as Mao Ze Dong & Pol Pot killed WAAAAAY more people than Hitler but you ask a random person in America & I doubt they even know those guys. But Hitler gets all the credit. Just cause he's white, & his victims are mostly white.. & jews.
There's a scene on spotlight that plays in one shot where a writer runs around the corner of his house/office in real time to a church of an accused priest and he realized how close this is to home. Such a beautiful one shot and use of a one shot
umm forest gump?
Gettysburg is a great film…it’s just too long for some people’s taste…they did a good job capturing the scope of the various stages of that campaign
I'm surprised Barry Lyndon isn't on the list, while technically historical fiction, the book it's based on, is itself based on the life Andrew Stoney
Funny how they went straight from milk to this expose of the catholic church.
The irony is that there's a lot of information about these young folks that he was involved with that were under age at the time he was involved with them.
Oh I know the people in the left. Don't care about that now and some people on the right. Don't care about it, either.
The irony of Gettysberg is that the prequel, Gods and Generals is the most historically inaccurate and racist movie in history
I think Zodiac should have made it up there.
I think you should mention the year the movie was made as well as the title
Many USA films and so low other!
Oh man. when a shitty site like watchmojo is telling us what is historically accurate, our species can pretty much just wrap it up
TRES Heavy Flims
Selma
@mojo #atchmojo neil armstrong never land to the moon, moon so far far away. are you guys dumb, im from 3rd world country. #dumbfolks
so glad city of god is getting the recognition it deserves cuz it’s such a banger
The first man is not accurate.
Where's 1970 "Waterloo"?
City of God is hands down one of the best movies that I’ve seen
City of God is phenomenal.
I've seen several of the movies in this list and I really enjoyed them, but a bridge too far was an absolute slogfest. Its so freaking long and freaking boring I could almost fall asleep and I've never fallen asleep during a movie. You couldn't pay me enough to watch it again.
“Reasonably accurate” for the first entry, “generally accurate”. Way to discredit yourselves right from the get-go. This channel remains a joke.
I had to do a paper in my Journalism class on the movie “Spotlight” stating what the reporters did right and what they did wrong. I loved watching the movie, and I got an A- on the paper.
They should do a movie about the genocide happening in Palestine and how the US support Israel only because of political interest
There is no such thing as historically accurate movie. It’s just not possible for many reasons.
Most of the time it would be pretty boring. Things have to be dramatized at least a bit.
You forgot about Glory. It was one of the best movies about Civil War and very accurate.
Where is saving private ryan?!
Thought The Boy in the Striped Pajamas would've made this vid
Well, that is quite a grim group of movies
"accuracy" of us propaganda movies… 😅😂😂😂😂 gtfoh !!!!!!!!!! Fake news!
How do you keep justifying every segment with how it ISN'T an accurate representation then go on to explain how it is?
Left out the art that Harvey milk was a sick pedo
Star Wars should have been number 1.
“The Longest Day” – The biggest inaccuracies in this film all center around John Wayne. His character, Lt. Col. Benjamin Vandervoort, was only 27 years old when he led his men into Europe. John Wayne was 54 at the time of shooting. Wayne demanded that he be allowed to play Vandervoort, even though he was almost 30 years older. He also demanded that his character have some sort of injury that he overcomes along with top billing and the top paycheck.
It was about this time that other actors in Hollywood were getting fed up with “The Duke” and no longer wanted to work with him.
I'm surprised Waterloo didn't make it. The director went so far as terraforming a region of Russia to match the Waterloo battlefield as accurately as possible. 10,000 soldiers were actually trained in Napoleonic warfare to make the battle feel absolutely authentic.
Schindler's List is based on a fictional book called Schindler's Ark.
It's 'Das Boot', you hacks.
I miss The big Short, The Dirt or No Pain, no Gain
A bridge to far: “we haven’t the proper facilities to take you all prisoner, sorry. we’d like to, but we cant! Was there anything else?” A quintessentially british thing to say. 😂
Funny how they made a movie about the moon landing and you’ve claimed it to be “historically accurate”!! 😂🤣 oh god, the laughter nearly made me piss myself!
