I think a movie that does #4 well also is ‘Vantage Point’
For #3 I think a great movie with a cool twist that does it well is predestination it has a really interesting structure as well as plot.
I also wonder if for hyperlink ‘Love actually is a good pick’ 😂

There’s a little indie flick, Bug, which has a pretty unique story structure. It follows about a dozen small stories of people who never meet each other, but still affect each others lives. A kid steps on a bug and causes a man to stop, getting him a traffic ticket. An overheard song causes a young man to quit his job, a dirty handshake makes two people appreciate each other in a new light, a kind word on the street saves a failing marriage. Stuff like that, it’s nice to remember we’re all connected

I was amazed with how modern the structure of Metropolis seemed to me when I watched it, it felt like every hollywood movie was just copying it's strucuture ever since. Maybe I'm talking about something else, but I wanted to mention Metropolis.

One thing I always think about when Citizen Kane is brought up, is how did they know his last words were "rosebud" didn't he die alone in his room. Theres no way anyone could hear him whisper that. I dont know if its a major flaw or that they just presumed someone heard it. I don't know, but that always annoyed me.

My husband saw Irreversible as a teenager, and not only does he still occasionally have nightmares about it, he's built his scholarly career on examining renaissance revenge tragedies. The movie is such a brutal, honest look at violence that it's rightfully difficult to watch, and impossible to forget.

Tarkovsky's Mirror being called as the greatest structured film in a today's day and age on Youtube is indescribably fulfilling for any true cinema fan and for anyone who has a low threshold for tolerating and celebrating the same old. Thanks for the video.
