For many weeks now, rumours have persisted regarding Microsoft’s intentions to release a number of 1st party games – namely Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves – on rival platforms. According to our sources, who have asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorised to talk about company plans, that list of games also includes Bethesda Game Studio’s Starfield.

Starfield released back in August of 2023 to fairly positive reception (despite the narrative that now exists online), and was the biggest Bethesda game launch of all time, surpassing 6 million players within a week of release.

Now it looks as though Microsoft are planning on bringing Betheda’s newest RPG universe to an entirely new platform – PlayStation 5.

According to sources, we understand that currently Microsoft are planning a launch for Starfield on PlayStation 5 post the release of the already announced “Shattered Space” expansion for Xbox and PC, which is on target to arrive at some point later this year. We’ve also been informed that Microsoft have made additional investment into PlayStation 5 dev kits to support ongoing development efforts – adding further fuel to the fire.

Even as a pc gamer only, i always love your videos and watch them more then regularly.
That said, I don't have much feeling about Xbox or Playstation for that matter. So this news doesn't
hurt me, but it was very educational to me, as most of your videos are.

This 12 years old man (dreamcast Guy) has a childish understanding of the word and how everything works. There is No clash of anything, with gaming it is only business. How much money can they make? So far, Microsoft is leading the multiplayer games business and that is where the Big money is. Sony PlayStation is a SINGLE platform games, that means limited profits and loss of massive profits, SONY depend on the selfish children, They don't want to share, It's sad to see that.

As a PlayStation fan and player this is somewhat good but also bad as these games maybe coming to PlayStation, but if Microsoft gives up and goes the way of Sega that's good for Sony but bad for us the consumer as they'll be able to do what they like as sure there's Nintendo but there not competing like they use to and without the competition nobody's going to be keeping Sony in check and there going to be doing stupid crap and what they like.

As a life long gamer, I’m not excited for the future of video games. The games feel bland, more worried about cramming woke stuff in it, or they’re too expensive, or stealing what works for other games, or rushing games out in terrible states. As of right now, I have no plans to buy any new gen console. I have both Xbox and ps4. There’s no game that makes me want to rush out and buy a new console. Now days games have a microwaveable shelf life. And communities dry up so quick.
And everything is online. So once a game is dead, good bye all the money you wasted for DLC.

I wouldn't mind if ps5 games went to Xbox but what I wouldn't like is if Sony stopped making systems if Xbox stops making systems ill feel bad for Xbox players but who cares about a game or 2 exchange

It was always going to happen. If you want a Playstation exclusive then you buy a Playstation. If you want an Xbox exclusive then you buy a PC.

The writing was on the wall when Xbox One was revealed. I was in love with the OG Xbox and the 360. That Xbox one launch made me buy a PS4 and after seeing how that platform performed I bought a PS5.
