Why Tech is Actually ALIVE – The Bad Batch Season 2

in the bad batch finale, tech fell to this death after sacrificing himself for his brothers and omega. Mentioning plan 99, Plan 99 is in reference to clone 99 from the clone wars. Clone 99 was a defective so called clone trooper with physical abnormalities compared to his brothers. He worked as a maintenance worker at the clone trooper barracks on Kamino. Despite his physical limitations, he was fiercely loyal to the clone troopers and often helped them in any way he could.
Clone 99 died in the episode “The Clone Wars: Season 3, Episode 1 – Clone Cadets” while defending the clone cadets from an attack by Separatist commando droids. He sacrificed his life to help the cadets escape and transmit a distress signal, warning the Republic of the impending attack. Clone 99’s bravery and sacrifice inspired the clone cadets to fight harder and succeed in their mission.
So plan 99 here as Tech says, is him sacrificing himself for his team. Wrecker tells him not to do it, and tech questions when have they ever followed orders, shooting the wire and falling to his doom along with the tram pulling the others down.
As the tram gets back on its tracks, they go speeding into the building and out the other end as Tech falls into the clouds with the rest of the tram cart. Now, here’s why I don’t think Tech is dead. There are actually many reasons supporting his survival. First off, his mutation was intelligence, meaning if anyone could calculate a way out of that situation, it’s him. The second was, he had thrusters on his back pack, meaning even if they didn’t act as a full on jet pack like jango or baba fett’s, he would have been able to slow his descent before hitting the ground and safely land. The third theory is that he fell into water, which would have a better chance of survival with his armor than if he landed on ground. The final theory is that Hemlock was using the clones for his experiments, and the bad batch were the more unique and special clones of all given their mutations and powers, he would have done everything he could to make sure he collected tech before he hit the ground, or to revive him and heal him back to health so he can run tests on him. I think in the third season, we could see the empire running tests and experiments on Tech, and this would likely be used as some sort of major mid season cliff hanger or something, as we all thought he’s dead.
The fifth and final theory that tech is alive, is that Rex went to save him, somehow Rex went to iriadu just after the bad batch got out, and ended up finding Tech and saving him, only to show up later with him in season 3 to save the day.
The main theory I cling on to here is that Hemlock recovered Tech’s glasses, meaning he probably found the body and took him to the lab. I think he had a ship ready to catch him because of how valuable tech is as an asset.

I am thinking maybe Sal helped and saved him?

If Tech fell and was crushed by that car, how was Hemlock able to salvage only his goggles? The only way he could do that is if Tech's goggles fell off while he was falling and that didn't happen. That means its possible the Empire found Tech and ruined his goggles to make it look like what Hemlock said.

Even if he landed in water it would be like hitting concrete

Welp this aged well

Last thing I will say though. Is that if Tech is alive, it’s not a surprise. The moment I see Tech’s face breathing in the present. I’ll say…
“Oh that character’s alive”
Sorry, I’m not surprised anymore by fake deaths. Because Disney has utterly ruined them.
@madmarcus1709 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
Ok, I don’t believe though Tech survived that fall on his own. I believe if Hemlock had not found him Tech would for sure be dead. Sorry Tech may be a very smart clone. But the man fell probably the highest distance ever in Star Wars.
@madmarcus1709 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
Look, I’m not going to lie. There is definitely a good chance Tech survived. But oh my gosh, I am done with considering anyone dead in Star Wars anymore. Maybe if Disney hadn’t F**KED it up by literally never killing anyone this would be more acceptable. I would rather Tech be dead, because Disney has no balls to kill characters anymore. I’ll say this Tech being alive might have more of a leg to stand on than say anyone else that Disney has fake killed. But still, Disney advert your own adverts and KILL SOMEBODY!! Otherwise what’s the point of stakes anymore? Let me tell you what would come out of Tech remaining dead. The fact that stakes can still be high. If Tech comes back to life (which he probably will) then the stakes for this characters becomes dampened. We know the writers don’t want to kill them off because of plot adverting. However, there is a way they can still save this. I believe if they ended the series by killing most if not all of clone force 99. Except Omega. It would really be earned too and it would definitely clear up why we don’t see them in Rebels or main Star Wars.

I was in such denial of Tech dying that I tried make up my own theories for why he’s still alive, and then I stumbled upon this video.
@RyanCR3000Omega19 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
I think he's alive. One reason: Nobody in starwars dies from fall damage. p e r i o d.
@MC-lo4ib March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
Everyone says they loved tech and it's their favorite character but if wrecker died it would've been "wreckers my favorite" 😂😂😂😂 wrecker is more integral than tech, tech is cool but he wasn't vital to the story. They could easily get a Droid to do his Job like huyang 😂
@MC-lo4ib March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
OH-MEHG-AH NOT OH-MEEH-GAH😂
@dezzybarrie March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
While some have mentioned hitting water at that height is like hitting concrete (which is true), I could easily imagine that Tech, being the genius he is, could've maneuvered his way around the train car and have it break the water first before he follows after?
@lyndalarose9200 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
I think your theories are completely plausible. I absolutely think Tech is alive. Yeah, if you don't see a body...you get the point. Also there's the subplot with Tech and Phee. Seriously, producers will just abandon that??? Hitchcock did that all the time in his films, but in this case, not likely.
@davidhammond9480 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
I mean not to mention other surviving dead clones. Call back echo and Gregor, who both survived explosions!!
@porfirioorta-middendorf6224 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
I believe it highly likely he survived one way or another. As you said, Theory, if anyone can calculate a way out, it's him. Besides, no body = no death. My thoughts is that he was unconscious upon strategically landing softly over some tree branches and then he was probably captured by Dr Hemlock and is undergoing some Imperial scientific experiments. It's highly probable and I'd love nothing more than to see Tech again. I feel I can relate to him. I wear glasses and love logic. Lol!
@thatoneguy6432 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
I hate to be the one to say this, but the water theory wouldn't work. he fell from a HIGH altitude, and if your not aware, falling into water is actually something to avoid. When something like Tech falls into water from that high, it doesnt soften the fall, but hardens and is more like landing on hard pavement.
@souladventurer8911 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
SOMEHOW ...
@lewis1567 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
I think Tech will be "dead" all season, i think then at the end we will find out the empire recovered his body and managed to revive his brain and turned him into a dark trooper as his enhanced brain makes the perfect candidate for the suit and the bad batch will be forced to face a ruined mutilated dark trooper Tech and either he becomes a re-occuring villain or they have to kill them
@ingofeisi6636 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
The episode before fi was flirting with him so much and it started getting clser i think fi maybe saved him
@shadowreaver1851 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
I hope that’s the case. Tech was my favorite character. I know Echo and Tech sometimes overlap in their skill sets but Tech isn’t just good at hardwiring stuff he’s also a literal genius who can out think his opponents and come up with winning strategies for success against the Empire. All the other characters are basic soldier characters but Tech really is the brains of the operation and without him all you have is improvisation and just fighting your way out of every mission which can get kind of boring. I’m not sure If I’m going to like Season 3 if it has NO TECH!
@ramonrodriguez6926 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
Tech lives 🎉
@S.hoonie March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
Yknow the saying in starwars its “don’t say the character is dead if you dont see their dead body” i am believing this heavily 😖🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
@eddieblancher7557 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
I think Tech's alive because I find it very odd that Hemlock somehow got a hold of his goggles and claim they were the only thing they found.
@2600_Josh March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
If there’s no body there’s no death

One piece

I might actually get a job with lucasfilm and if I do I will make sure he survives

Tech 99
@ianshue2890 March 22, 2024 - 9:54 pm
Techs death situation is a very interesting case indeed. The interesting thing is the doctor literally searched for his body, and found his glasses, but no body. The doctor could be lying. He could have just found the glasses. Maybe Tech will suffer in the labs like Crosshair. Good storytelling would make Tech dead. That being said, I know I and a lot of other people don’t want to see him be dead. Although I have two reasons to believe he’s alive. First off, it’s Disney. Disney can make some emotional content, but if we’ve learned anything from Rise of Skywalker, they will bring back popular characters no matter how silly the situation is. Second off, it gives a pretty big hint whenever it just shows the glasses. Hemlock is clearly insane enough where if he did fine the body, he would’ve walked into that place with his severed head if he was dead. So the fact he just had the glasses, suggests he may have survived. Regardless if he does survive, Disney needs to bring him back at the right time. Not on a random ass mission, not randomly stranding into their home, he needs to show up when he is truly needed and have a big entrance. As of right now, I think he’s alive, but you never know with Disney
