The Creator was probably the best film I saw last year
Damn, I really liked The Drinker before this. Seeing him in the same room as his "friend" Ben Shapiro is so disappointing. Disgusting grifter. I thought Drinker was one of the intelligent ones.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16.
Its that simple (Romans 8:35-39) (1 Corinthians 15 1-4) All have sinned (Romans 3:23) Sin is simply transgression of the law, Jesus took away our sin, cleansed us with his Blood (1 John 1:7-9) PERMANENTLY making us children of God (John 1:12) 1 Corinthians 6:11.) (1 John 3:4) (1 John 5:4) but if we follow the law, we are fallen from grace/freedom(Galatians 5:4) We put ourselves in bondage relying on our own works of the Law.( Galatians 5)
Regardless of how we live, Jesus lived and walked perfectly for us (1 Peter 1;17-20), we are imputed his righteousness (Romans 4:22-25), given the free gift of salvation through God's grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), given eternal joy (not just temporary happiness) true BLISS, fellowship with God, (ISAIAH 52:11, better understanding of his creation (Ephesians 2:6-7) and freely rewarded with the kingdom of God. (Galatians 3:17-29)
Through Jesus alone, (Rev 1:6) we gain the inheritance promised to the seed of Abraham by God not by any work we do.(Romans 4:4-8) Rejoice and rest in the messiah live your life by faith, by liberation of the law( 2nd Corinthians 5:7) GOD BLESS!
Go buy your wife some KY Benny
Contrast Taika Waititi with '80s- and '90s-era Sam Raimi.
5:32 David Lynch had some colorful words regarding the whole concept of watching a movie on a phone.
The Drinker is not just a good reviewer, he's used his platform to shine a light on older films that many have missed. Plus, I enjoy his novels!
sorry ben …the superhero movies have to bee seen big screen …that doesnt mean it is goof though .
I did not think I would have ever seen this pairing!
This is the problem I've bitched about in Star Trek before. Even in the later period of the Berman era, writers had to pick and choose what scenes were really necessary. Now? Now you can pad an episode with countless vfx shots of battles that the TNG (or even Enterprise) writers would have to avoid.
The reason movies are failing is DEI/ESG workness. No one wants political bs in entertainment.
its done
I had never seen what critical drinker looked like before. Looks like an absolute chad. 🤣
there are very few movies worth going to the cinema , the big religious epics from the 50's, films likes Stars Wars, Blade runner and the likes of Interstellar. Why would anyone pay to see an Adam Sandler movie or a romcom , when the cinema experience adds nothing
Great conversation 👍👌…..
Critical Drinker is just great. Genuine intelligent reviews, an asshole persona, but at the end of the day he really is an upstanding guy. I enjoy Greg from time to time, but nerdrotic often feels just mean spirited.
It's amazing how sober Will Jordan is able to appear when he wants to.
Drinker w/o sunglasses… geez… I didn’t know he had eyes
The Critical Drinker is slowly but surely talking his way into English accent
Just block Hollywood and grab yourself a copy of twin town or face, real movies, you can thank me later 😅
I like these with Drinker
Love both gents but have to disagree on Tenet, I thought it was great. Really messed with your mind, but it was good.
The new Siskel and Ebert! Start a monthly show. I’d buy a ticket to that.
I admit I loved "Ghostbusters Afterlife" (2021). And I am VERY ANTI WOKE. Under his recommendations, I watched THE WRESTLER (2008) , 1917 (2019) , JOKER (2019) , and THE MENU (2022) . GREAT STUFF in this modern day where WOKE shight has ruined so much.
How earth did this fly under my radar. This is actually awesome
Ben needs to talk faster. He hasn’t quite reached auctioneer.
Is that water in his glass? Get this man a drink ASAP!
A big big part of this is because of the death of the DVD and advent of the streaming platforms. Matt Damon talks about this if you search but basically, because no one is interested in physical media anymore (which has decent margins, certainly better than digital), studios are resistant to take cinematic risks anymore. They strongly rely on tried and tested IP which invariably means reboots and sequels. People are also more resistant to go the cinema because of the increased quality of in home entertainment and streaming services giving you whatever you want whenever you want. As a business I can understand why studios might want to pay it safe but it does impact creativity and risk takings.
Head in hands – these guys are so predictable. Ben Shapiro: "Christopher Nolan is good." Phenomenal take. Critical drinker: "The mindless big budget movie conveyor belt is bad." Just, astonishing.
How did "Lady Ballers" do at the worldwide box office?
Creator deserves recognition
2:45 – 😆
5:35 Wow, I'm not the only one!
