I remember when 'The hand that rocks the cradle' was out, reading there were a lot of walk outs - married couples out on dates having panic attacks about the babysitter

I remember the controversy of people walking out on Interview with the Vampire, because the scenes made people queasy.

There's only one movie I remember people walking out of in droves: "Taxidermia" (2006).
I have an iron stomach for anything on screen, but even I felt squeamish after that flick's ending.

I thought the exorcist scene not believable, I walked out because of the content. I walked out of Pulp Fiction because of the swearing.

I rented Caligula as an adult in the 90's just to see what all the fuss was about, yeah, it was still disgusting. Ditto to the clockwork orange. Very sexy and violent but there is much worse now. Pulp Fiction is what it is, kinda classic...Also saw it years after its first release. Cloverfield felt like a fun Hollywood romp. I only saw the exorcist in pieces, maybe on TV? or just as I entered and exited the room? These are the only ones I have scene. HOWEVER - The movie I walked out of was Hotel New Hampshire. Supposed to be a comedy? Parent death, dog death, rape, incest, sadism, terrorists, suicide, blindness disability, homophobia, need I go on? I think that was its name. It had Jody Foster in it.

I walked out of "Titanic" ...what a stupid overrated cheesy Movie. After half an hour I've had enough.

An older woman I knew walked out of The Color Purple. I thought for years she'd just been shocked. Now I know that the part with her father was her story too. People take so much pain, so many secrets, to their graves.

Found footage is nothing more than a method for covering up a horrible movie by making everything so shaky and blurry that you can't tell what you're watching.
I saw people walking out when I first watched "Exorcist".
One that's missing from the list is "Alien". The scene where the alien pops out of John Hurt's chest had several people exiting the theater.

Ah yes, The Passion of the Christ. A heartwarming tale about the love Jesus had for all of us, the movie focuses on his gentle teachings and his mira---sorry, what's that? Sorry no, wrong movie. This one is torture p*rn for a death cult.

When we were thirteen, the elementary school took us to cinema to watch Requiem for a Dream. Those idiots obviously only saw the title: film about drugs, without actually checking what audience it was intended for. But yeah, if their intention was to scare us from taking drugs, then I guess it worked :DDD

A lot of time movies are actually nice compared to the real life they are compared to. IE Hugh Glass. It is not known if Glass was real to day but is have been real. But it goes back to the 1840 report. Which is why a nice version of it was put out. It's also why the name was changed. Or like Caligula, who was real in life. He was a sick man who was later killed by his subjects

"Salo or The 120 days of Sodom (1975)" isn't on this list. And makes all the movies of the list look like "Driving Miss Daisy".

Inception. Was really long and boring. Didn’t care about the plot and hour in.
