It has just been revealed that a ‘special edition’ of the Official Xbox Podcast will air on February 15 at 3 PM ET, featuring the likes of Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond, and Matt Booty. They will share updates on the Xbox business, as promised by Phil Spencer last week in the wake of rampant discussions regarding the future of the Xbox brand.

Last week, many claims, rumours, and tidbits started surfacing, primarily concerning Xbox-exclusive games finding their way onto competing platforms like PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. It set the internet ablaze and caused some prolific Xbox backers to throw shade against Microsoft and its gaming arm.

Phil Spencer, the Head of Xbox at Microsoft, said on February 5:

We’re listening and we hear you. We’ve been planning a business update event for next week, where we look forward to sharing more details with you about our vision for the future of Xbox. Stay tuned.

Now, it seems that the business update is being delivered as Phil Spencer himself takes to the Official Xbox Podcast to make clear what’s happening. He’ll be joined by Sarah Bond, the recently appointed President of Xbox, and Matt Booty, the Head of Xbox Game Studios.

It kicks off on February 15 at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET / 8 PM GMT.

Microsoft wants to be Netflix on every tv, phone, cpu whatever. Saw this coming 8-10 years ago. Just wait till games mimick all the subs for shows and movies like apple to watch this, paramount to watch that, prime to enjoy this and crunchyroll to have that. It's going to be the same here people. Give it another 8 years and you will only be able to play epic games on the epic games app, Microsoft content on their app. And so on and so on. Why you think they were buying up as much as they can. Just like others, they all want their own content for the future. Looking forward to the Sega app...what a great future, keep buying digital sheep.

one day people will look back and be amazed out how little gamepass cost and what it provided comparatively at this time. and when they ask what made everyone mad, we will have to reply "the fact that they allowed their games on other platforms."

Phil said that the xbox lose this generation and obviously losed last gen. Thats a 2 lose streak same as sega with saturn and dreamcast respectively. They have billions of dollars to fix this next gen but I doubt that would be the case.
