Hey everyone! In this video, I’m showing you how to set up a UI navigation system in Unreal Engine 5 so you can easily control your UI buttons using a gamepad, keyboard, and mouse seamlessly. I’ll also go over how to fix that annoying issue where the focus gets lost when you click outside the buttons.
Super helpful, right? I’ve added chapters too, so you can skip to whatever part you need. Let’s make your game’s UI work seamlessly across all devices!
Don’t forget to hit the subscribe button and give the video a thumbs up! Your support means a lot to me, haha.

Hi there, fab video!
I've used this tutorial to navigate inside a scroll box which is great, but it doesn't quite move at the right distance to have each of my buttons centred. Is there a way to change how far along the scroll will move for each time the arrow is hit?
Instead of using keyboard arrows, how do I use change focus using W and S keys?
hi thanks for Tutorials , but its not working for ps5 gamepad ,
Check Common UI plugin which should solve all gamepad-related issues.
for some reason it dose nothing in my setup. i probaly miss something but i chekt now 3 times still all the same as in the video.this is the second soution i tried. the other one was almoste the same but in the end it did no use a chnage style but some other nodes for setting an other background collor
ich have set it up directly from the button so i don't need the Cast tu buttons node. but otherwise the same. i gave up for now lookng for an other soultion an other time
when I use my gamepad I can't see which Ui I'm on how can I fix it?
Ok, default on clicked gamepad button x. And i want change to button triangle. How to make it?
I have a problem. My UI hides the mouse and only uses the keyboard to control the buttons. It enters the interface by default. Although the keyboard is focused, it cannot respond to the Enter key for interaction. The Enter key only works after pressing the arrow keys to switch buttons. Although the mouse is hidden, after I click the mouse, the Enter key does not work again. I need to switch the button again. I don’t know how to solve it.
can yo show how to do it with text rather than button?
Thanks for the great video.
I have a question.
Is there any way to make the mouse hover or click change color the same as the controller hover or click?
Also, is it a spec that the white border on the buttons is gone?
Thanks for the tutorial, but I have a question. Instead of changing the button style, how can I make it so I can change the text style/color?
