I used to be a part of Hypnotic and SmashJT and that whole community, but they just don't align with my beliefs about wokeness anymore, and lately I've been wondering if they ever really did. You claimed you played the game for two hours? If you did you would know that it's a REQUIREMENT there is no "IF you play with someone else" you HAVE to play with someone else.

Maybe the guy designed a game he wants his kids to play when they're 8 (he did say something about teaching kids how food is made). It does likely have some publisher influences of the DEI kind.

… If this is "woke DEI", I just think you haven't experienced much of older media then (much less older media meant for kids/YAs). I'm not one to rag on younger people and stuff, but man, you guys criticizing stuff really does show how fickle the audience is. Play the ps2 game or watch the movie "The Warriors". That fashion sense and youth jargon will blow your mind. In fact, watch anything from the 70s as more or less it's culturally were we've regressed to.
Genuine question: What wouldn't make this a DEI, Woke game to you? I'd imagine you don't believe that games can only have White men in them, so how can a game like this still have women, still have minorities, and NOT be a DEI game? What's an example of a more natural fit to have a featured protagonist like that?
While I appreciate the Splitscreen Focus of Hazelight Studios and I don't mind a Double A budget games. It's clear that this game has DEI influences all over it, the character Design and focus on two Female protagonists are indicators enough. It's crazy for me that after all those years and games, people still go with the sentiment of "Not woke/No DEI until proven otherwise" shouldn't it be "Woke/DEI until proven otherwise"?
I think KCD2 is woke but i have yet to see a solid argument as to why split fiction is woke. Yea it is current day America and current America sucks and it is also probably for girls or couples but that doesn't mean it's woke. It's not made for real gamers or the supermajority but i don't think its existence hurts gaming. Western gaming is in an awful state and in a crash right now so 1 game doing well won't change much. Also if a game was truly woke you wouldn't see someone as pretty as the brown girl. Have you seen American games lately? All girls are butt ugly.
