I’m your host, Darren Van Dam!

Tired of looking for good movies to watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming services? Every week I recommend a handful of the best movies on Netflix, Amazon, HBO etc. so my subscribers never run out of good movies to watch on streaming. Spending 10 minutes watching one of my videos could save you hours of searching, hours that you could otherwise spend watching good movies on streaming that you otherwise might not have ever watched or even known about.

Thanks for watching!

At 1:11, the cop looks like Alan Hale Jr. (the Skipper from Gilligan's Island) but I don't think it is.

@doktorb3at January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Will Farrell?! Um… no.

@michaeledmonds4849 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

OMG Cutting Edge. Watch this so many times in the 90s, because my roommate was obsessed with the lead actress.

@thechiefhasspoken213 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

In the Heat of the Night is a phenomenal show, as well.

@davec8022 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Girl I dated just before meeting my wife was an aspiring figure skater. I would film her for hours over the weekend. (Yeah, yeah) Cutting Edge was her absolute favorite film. So I may have seen it too many time for another viewing, but not terrible for a "chick flick"

@gregnatsch8787 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Unforgiven and “gun culture”?

@Dee-jq2ob January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

We have prime for one reason and one reason only, free shipping and if there’s something we want to watch, we will, we haven’t watched one prime show, once the added commercials.

@scathson January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

you are really losing it (or are a paid shill) – made it to about half way through your video and some seriously boring movies are being recommended – "edge of tomorrow"? – really – the most snooze worthy sci-fi of all time?

just got a free month of prime and as i'm sure you are aware, the difficulty of finding something decent to watch is over the top – there was a time when your videos were helpful but you've given that up (just look at your list and consider)

@smokeystriper January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Gotta say, I did like the Cutting Edege.but I'm an 80s kid so…

@durwoodrobison7800 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

I'm going to come out and say it, Fall Guy is just bad. It's so slow, not funny, just bad.

@kungfudoc January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Equalizer 3 is the best Equalizer movie

@jaystoner9475 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Will Ferrell? Good luck with that.

@frankgonzalez222 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Battlestar Galactica '04 is on Prime? I don't you've mentioned it Darren, unless I missed one of your vids. Should be on top of the list! Good list, but I've seen most of them.

@speedrat January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Your hair looks stupid….sorry.

@jakes3059 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

It always reminds me when you have a Beam ad. On average, how many flicks do you watch a day?

@GLTOUCH January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

I dunno why prime doesn't have good movies. I swear I dunno

@Scarter63 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

I thought The Cutting Edge was awesome! I've watched it, probably a dozen times over the years. It's just fun. "Toe pick"

@americanalpha7606 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

The Fall Guy originally was a 80s show that ran 5 seasons, starring Lee Majors. AKA The Six Million Dollar Man…

@phlebgrl6064 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

One of Will Farrell’s most underrated and hard to find movies was “Stranger Than Fiction”. It wasn’t heavily advertised when it came out but it’s incredible. It has Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dustin Hoffman and Queen Latifa as well. Happy New Year! 🎊

@robertnewell4054 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Heat of the Night begat a TV
Series of the same name starring Howard Rollins & Carrol O’Conner

@Kyfra20 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

The true story behind Tag is awesome

@richardgriego42 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

MACGRUBER!!!!! ❤️

@daved8858 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Prime sucks. DVD you do a good job though

@jjense31 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Loved the cutting edge 😂. Classic!

@rig-zag January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

The Cutting Edge OMG Watching that clip I got flashbacks to the 90s. Isn't that the guy from Silk Stalkings? Anyone else remember when USA Network used to turn into edited softcore porn after 10pm? 😂

@justinecooper9575 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

"In the Heat of the Night" is as much about classism in the deep South as it is about racism.

@shakesfirst2443 January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Mcgruber was obviously bought as a tax write off by Amazon. It's not the "offensiveness" of the movie, but f()k me it's so puerile. Over the top comedy some people would call offensive can obviously be good, but Mcgruber is written like it's by a 3 year old training first gen AI on how poo jokes with bad words would work.

@FosterWolf January 4, 2025 - 9:34 pm

Honestly, I don't know why you wouldn't consider The Blues Brothers a musical. It's definitely way better than most jukebox musicals. So glad you praised the Fall Guy, too! One of the few flicks I saw in the theater this year, rather than just streaming. As a film buff, it was a treat!
