24 hours now, and we still have no electricity.
I was wondering, if the UK government spent the taxpayers money on the national grid infrastructure, and not the 20 billion on the clear corrupt practice of carbon capture technology,s, which do not work ,and are just a way of corrupt governments to give corrupt energy companies a means to extract more oil from depleted oil fields, whilst doing bitterly nothing to reduce carbon levels in the atmosphere, then we might have less power cuts.
Just a thought.

I Love how residents in Ireland pay more for Sky than your English counterparts and yet sky can't be bothered to include them in the weather warnings.. Thanks.

@stephenfarthing3819 December 14, 2024 - 10:13 pm

Most of this hits Wales in the West! The South West may well be the second worse area to have suffered this. This has caused me some difficult times this morning. When most of the busses were suspended – gave me a considerable complication in getting to work! This morning! I certainly hope that there's no further knock on with further weather complications for Sunday morning or afternoon.

@edmundandlucy December 14, 2024 - 10:13 pm

WORST STORM IN…… 2 years

@TotemCrow December 14, 2024 - 10:13 pm

My bin blew over and the contents were blowing all over. As I was picking it up the wind took hold of the bin and it took everything I had not to take off. Scared me to be honest. Put them out of the way and shot in. Didn’t even try collecting the stuff.. too dangerous.

@cranberrymoonchild December 14, 2024 - 10:13 pm

I'm sorry but we've had this weather for years (seasonally) so why on earth are we now having red alerts and government alarms going off on our phones?! Ridiculously over the top, and feels like a means of major organisations controlling people through fear.
