While I agree with the firing of Eberflus for being a giant turd (he should never have been a head coach…only a DC) let’s not forget, ANY of the 11 players on the field could have called time out. And as a leader of the team, expected to have game IQ, Caleb Williams should have called a timeout. You don’t go down with the ship when you can save yourself and 10 other players (let’s face it, the entire organization) by simply raising your hands in the “T” symbol. The buck stops with Eberflus but there is no excuse for that level of stupidity by so many.
It really feels deliberate at this point. There are too many examples over the past three years. This isnt a one-off, no fluke mistake. These keep happening over and over, and I agree that if Poles doesnt can him Friday that he is a coward. Make a statement Poles, because if you dont and you are retained, the players that remain will have no confidence in your ability to put the team in the best position to win. Such a disgrace to the game and head coaching position 🤡🤮
Eberflus ruined another Caleb comeback? Is that what I just heard this guy say? Caleb is the reason the game ended like that. There’s no even second option. You have to run a play to get closer and to call a time out. You wanted them to call a time out there? So when they don’t get out of bounds what the hell are they going to do? That ending would be just as bad. Caleb took his time calling out the player like he was in the first quarter. He put eberflus in a terrible position
I was sitting at the tv with a book, thinking at halftime they were definitely going to lose, I'm sitting there seeing the comeback, and couldn't believe it, before the dubious pass interference call on vildor they pan over to eberflus, he was like, "how can I lose this game?"
Ryan Poles can't fire the coach. It has to go through the MaCasky family first, and they won't fire him. The MaCaskys have never fired a coach during the season
