I would love a sequal to this set during the second world war. I would keep the interlacing storylines. You could follow an allied soldier / photographer from training day to d-day and all the way to the battle of the bulge. The geman protagonist could be followed from his entrainment as a stormtrooper and then sent to the defense lines of normandy where d-day starts their journeys into the madness of war. Might even take a page from saving private ryan and band of brothers. Although I do wish the npc's would have someting more substantial to say when you speak wih them, togethet with some fleshed out recurring ones you can emotionally connect to. The artistic direction of this game was so unique and enjoyable that it would be a waste of the tech that got developed just to teach a game engine how to paint. Those assets are just demanding a second game by this team. In fact, A belgian studio 100 musical called 40-45 already showed how an emotionally compelling story can be told with a family tragedy where one brother joins the rebellion in a increasingly nazi occupied belgium, while the other brother shares sympathies with the socialist party.
I really hope this game got all the revenue it deserves so they can make another one like it.
If any fans of this game read this, shout out!
